Hurns gained nine yards on his lone reception in the Cowboys’ Week 15 loss. Hurns doesn’t get enough looks to be a recommended fantasy option right now.

Cam Newton (shoulder) is expected to sit the final two games for the Panthers, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
With Carolina now eliminated from the playoffs, this is not a surprise. Newton clearly hasn’t been at 100% for a while now, and it’s possible he’ll need another shoulder surgery this offseason—if not, he could use these extra two weeks off to just give it a rest. With Newton likely to be out, none of the Panthers skill position players aside from star running back Christian McCaffrey are highly-recommended fantasy options. Backup Tyler Heinicke is not a recommended QB1 option with fantasy titles on the line.

Noah Brown catches one pass in Cowboys’s loss.
Brown gained 14 yards on his lone Week 15 reception. He was also targeted on a deep ball down the sideline but couldn’t come up with it in tight coverage. Brown has potential, but he’s not an advisable fantasy option at the moment.

Sammy Watkins (foot) won’t practice today.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid says Watkins is day-to-day. Especially with the Chiefs barely holding on to the top seed in the AFC, Watkins might have a chance to return in the regular season despite talk of him being out until the postseason. However, the Chiefs probably aren’t going to rush him back if he’s not 100%. We’ll track Watkins’ practice status the next two days, but keep in mind Kansas City doesn’t play until Sunday night, which could put fantasy owners in a bind.

Dalton Schultz catches three passes in Week 15.
Schultz gained 23 yards in the Cowboy’s loss to the Colts. The rookie tight end has three receptions in each of the last two weeks, which is a positive sign; but he’s difficult to trust in fantasy lineups at the moment.

The Dolphins have placed Frank Gore (foot) on injured reserve.
This was expected after Gore’s foot sprain suffered in Sunday’s loss to the Vikings. Gore’s season ends with 156 carries for 722 yards and 12 receptions for 124 yards and a touchdown. While Gore didn’t score a touchdown on the ground, he had another very productive season running the ball as the primary ball-carrier in his first year with the Dolphins. Gore churns out positive yardage and keeps the offense ahead of the chains, and his 4.6 yards per carry were his most since 2012. The future Hall of Famer turns 36 this offseason, but he’ll probably continue playing considering he hasn’t shown signs of slowing down. If this Miami coaching staff remains in place, he’ll likely be back with the team, but he should draw interest from other places if he doesn’t re-sign.

Cole Beasley catches four passes against the Colts.
Beasley gained 42 yards on his four Week 15 receptions. Entering fantasy title weeks, Beasley is difficult to trust in lineups as a better real-life contributor than fantasy asset.
