Join now >Melvin Gordon (knee) is officially questionable for tomorrow night.
Gordon is making the trip to Kansas City and appears to have a realistic chance of suiting up for the big Thursday night matchup against the Chiefs. The superstar running back is set to be a game-time decision, so check back on his status tomorrow at around 6:50 PM ET when the official actives and inactives should be out. If Gordon plays, you would think he’s close enough to full strength otherwise the Chargers wouldn’t risk playing him, so he’d be an RB1 as usual for Week 15. Austin Ekeler (neck/concussion) has already been ruled out, so Justin Jackson would lead the backfield if Gordon is out.
12/12/18 - 03:11 PM ET
Mike Davis handles 13 touches in Week 15 loss.
Davis rushed five times for 21 yards and added eight receptions for 63 yards. The veteran saw more work as Rashaad Penny (knee) sat, and he paid off for those who relied on him as a FLEX in PPR leagues. Next week could turn into a shootout against the Chiefs, so Davis will remain on the FLEX radar, especially if Penny misses another game.
12/17/18 - 12:02 PM ET
Tyler Boyd (knee) has been ruled out for the rest of today’s game.
It’s unclear when Boyd was injured, but he was limping and has now been ruled out. Before leaving, Boyd had four receptions for 38 yards and a touchdown. His status for next week is up in the air at this point, but hopefully the injury isn’t too serious. Boyd crossed the 1,000-yard mark in this game in what’s been a nice breakout season for him.
12/16/18 - 02:58 PM ET
Chris Carson handles 28 touches in loss to the 49ers.
Carson rushed 22 times for 119 yards and a touchdown, also adding six receptions for 29 yards. The Seahawks fed Carson with rookie runner Rashaad Penny (knee) inactive, but it wasn’t enough to avoid an upset in overtime. However, it was another great game out of the Oklahoma State product, and he should be a high-end RB2 for the fantasy championship, which includes home games against the Chiefs and Cardinals.
12/17/18 - 12:00 PM ET
Doug Baldwin (hip) is officially inactive for Monday night.
Baldwin didn’t practice all week while dealing with his hip injury so this isn’t a surprise. The veteran receiver wasn’t going to be a recommended fantasy option for the first week of the fantasy playoffs in a tough matchup with the Vikings, but him being out is a hit to Seattle’s offense. This is Baldwin’s third missed game this season in what’s been an injury-riddled year.
12/10/18 - 06:46 PM ET
Tom Brady and the Patriots fall to the Steelers at Heinz Field.
Brady was 25/36 for 279 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Week 15 loss marking the first time since 2002 the franchise has lost back-to-back games in December. It looked like Brady and the offense were set to have another big day against the Steelers after a walk-in 63-yard touchdown to a wide-open Chris Hogan on a deep crossing route, but New England scored just three points the rest of the way. The interception was a rare fourth-quarter mistake in the red zone on a play where he might’ve just been trying to get the ball out of bounds. The Patriots were in position for a potential game-tying score at the end, but Brady couldn’t get the ball to his receivers in the end zone on a few shots. After two straight road games, Brady will return home to Foxboro in a game the offense could be due for an explosion; however, the Bills are a tough matchup, so there is some risk for Brady entering fantasy title games.
12/17/18 - 11:59 AM ET
Julio Jones (rib) is questionable to return against the Cardinals.
Jones left after a touchdown reception at the end of the first half. He didn’t appear to be too concerned, but the Falcons are in control of this game, which could make it less likely that he returns. We’ll update you if he’s ruled out or returns to the game.
