Kylin Hill leaves game with apparent knee injury.

Hill took a hard hit directly to the knee area while his leg was planted on a kick return, and this doesn’t look great. The rookie’s night is almost sorry certainly over, as he’s being carted off, and now we just have to hope this isn’t a long-term thing. Cardinals running back Jonathan Ward is the one the made the tackle, and he unfortunately was also carted off the field; we hope both guys are feeling OK soon.

Davante Adams (COVID-19) list will not play tonight, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Green Bay had been holding out hope that Adams could play, but that won’t happen, and Green Bay will be down to Randall Cobb, Amari Rodgers, and Equanimeous St. Brown as the top wideouts if Marquez Valdes-Scantling (hamstring) doesn’t come off injured reserve. Adams should fortunately have plenty of time to be cleared by a Week 9 battle versus the Chiefs, but fantasy owners will have to look elsewhere this week.

The Panthers are signing Willie Snead to the practice squad.

The veteran receiver will now look to work his way up to the active roster in Carolina, but he’s not on the fantasy radar in standard-sized redraft leagues right now.

The Saints are acquiring Mark Ingram.

The Texans were going with a three-player RBBC of Ingram, David Johnson, and Phillip Lindsay, while the Saints were in need of a complement behind Alvin Kamara with Tony Jones Jr. out, so this deal makes a ton of sense for both sides. Ingram started his career with the Saints, playing with the team from 2011-2018. The veteran running back was a super complement to Kamara early in Kamara’s career, and New Orleans will look to recreate some of that magic on a team that wants to run the ball and not put too much on Jameis Winston’s plate.

The Steelers released Jaylen Samuels from the practice squad.

Samuels’ familiarity with Pittsburgh might help him land back with the team at some point, but they are going in another direction for now. The versatile running back is off the fantasy radar for most leagues at the moment.

Devin Smith is signing with the Panthers practice squad, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Smith is a familiar name for Sam Darnold as a former second-round pick of the Jets, so perhaps that connection will be something that clicks in practice. The deep threat can also be insurance for Robby Anderson.

The Broncos released John Brown from the practice squad.

Jerry Jeudy (ankle) is expected to return this week, and the Broncos are going in another direction for more depth on the practice squad. The veteran receiver is surprisingly still looking for a home where he can make an impact this season.
