Join now >The Seahawks have activated Rashaad Penny (calf) from injured reserve.
Penny will return tonight against the Saints, and he should immediately have a decent role for the projected-to-be run-heavy Seahawks—though Alex Collins will be the preferred play in a difficult matchup.

Davante Adams placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Adams is now almost certainly out for Thursday night based on how the protocols have worked this season, so this is awful timing for the Packers (heading into a huge matchup versus Arizona) and fantasy owners. It wouldn’t be a surprise if other Green Bay players were placed on the list, but for now, move Allen Lazard up into strong FLEX territory for Week 8, and we’ll see if Marquez Valdez-Scantling (hamstring) can return.

Malcolm Brown (quad) placed on injured reserve.
Brown went down yesterday, and he will now miss at least three games on IR. This news is a boost for Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed, but neither will be a highly recommended play next Sunday versus Buffalo.

Tyrod Taylor (hamstring) is returning to practice this week.
Taylor is set to return after several weeks on injured reserve, and he will be Houston’s starter as David Culley’s squad looks for a spark. This news is a boost to the entire offense, and Tyrod can be a weekly streaming option depending on the matchup—though we wouldn’t recommend him this week against the Rams.

Dyami Brown is dealing with a minor knee injury, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Brown will miss next week’s game, but he could be good to go after that with Washington having a bye in Week 9. By that point, hopefully the offense will have all three of Curtis Samuel (groin), Logan Thomas (hamstring), and Brown in the lineup to add some upside behind Terry McLaurin.

D.J. Chark (ankle) is out for the rest of the season.
This was always a possibility when Chark went down early in Week 4, and head coach Urban Meyer said that’s now the case. The injury is obviously an unfortunate ending to the season for the former LSU standout, and he ends with seven receptions, 154 yards, and and two touchdowns in three full games. Set to enter free agency in 2022, Chark might have to settle for a short-term deal (perhaps back with Jacksonville), but his size/athleticism should have him in demand around the league.

Zach Wilson (knee) is expected to miss two-to-four weeks.
Wilson is dealing with a sprained PCL, which was the hope/expectation, and it thankfully appears to be in the lower side in terms of severity. Mike White will take over for quarterback of the Jets for at least the next couple of games, and hopefully Wilson can put together a strong final stretch of his rookie season when he returns to the lineup.
