Justin Hunter (shoulder) has been placed on injured reserve.

Hunter worked as the team’s No. 3 wideout on Monday night, but he was forced to leave the game after landing on his shoulder, and his season is now over. The former second-round pick caught three passes for 21 yards this year. He will now hit unrestricted free agency, and the Steelers could have interest in bringing him back on another short-term deal.

The Steelers promoted running back Trey Edmunds to the active roster.

Edmunds is a second-year running back from Maryland that was on Pittsburgh’s practice squad, and he might get a chance to play on gameday if James Conner misses any time with his lower leg injury. The 23-year-old is the brother of Bills linebacker Tremaine Edmunds and Steelers safety Terrell Edmunds, which is pretty cool. The big runner isn’t a recommended fantasy pickup, but he’s someone to keep an eye on. Being promoted could indicate the Steelers are at least slightly concerned about Conner’s Week 14 status.

Wendell Smallwood sees zero touches in win over the Redskins.

Smallwood only saw a couple snaps as the odd-man-out in Darren Sproles’ return, and he would probably need an injury to Josh Adams, Corey Clement, or Sproles to climb back into the running back rotation. Fantasy owners can safely drop the former fifth-round pick in redraft leagues.

Dallas Goedert held without a catch in Week 13 win.

Goedert was targeted three times, but he and Carson Wentz couldn’t connect, including on a screen pass that looked to have some room. The rookie won’t be a strong fantasy play behind Zach Ertz next week in a huge matchup against Dallas.

Jordan Matthews scores in Eagles’ win.

Matthews caught a four-yard slant for a touchdown on his lone reception against the Redskins. He got a natural pick on the play from Nelson Agholor to help get him slightly better position on the slant. Matthews is not a recommended fantasy option in the fantasy playoffs.

Alshon Jeffery catches three passes in Week 13.

Jeffery gained 31 yards on his three receptions against the Redskins. He was targeted on an interception in the red zone, as Carson Wentz probably locked on and forced it to him in an effort to get his big receiver more involved. Jeffery has now gone five straight games with less than 50 receiving yards and has no touchdowns in that span, and he gets a tough matchup against a Cowboys team that shut him down in their first matchup. Jeffery is just a FLEX option for the first week of the fantasy playoffs.

Maurice Harris held without a catch in Week 13 loss.

Harris was targeted once, but it was a misfire. The 26-year-old has just 13 yards over the past three weeks, so he won’t be a recommended fantasy option against the Giants next Sunday.
