Julian Edelman scores in Patriots’ win.

Edelman caught four passes (on five targets) for 84 yards and a touchdown in the Week 12 win over the Jets. The score came on a 21-yard catch-and-run after Edelman caught a quick stop route and raced through the defense and to the end zone. Edelman also had a 36-yard reception in the game. The veteran receiver faces a tough Vikings defense next week, but Tom Brady is likely to look his way as he attempts to get the ball out of his hands to neutralize Minnesota’s pass rush.

Lee Smith caught two passes for 39 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Ravens.

Smith was second on the team in yards, but he remains mostly a blocker behind Jared Cook. The Raiders will try to upset the Chiefs in Week 13.

Jordy Nelson targeted once in return to the lineup.

Nelson didn’t bring in his only look, but he did rush once for a loss of two yards. The matchup was tough, but it looks like Marcell Ateman (ten targets) might be the focal point of the passing attack down the stretch with Oakland in evaluation mode. That said, Jordy is worth considering as a FLEX option next week against the Chiefs with the hopes that he is more of a factor in a good matchup.

Cordarrelle Patterson gets six touches against the Jets.

Patterson carried five times for ten yards and caught one pass for -1 yard in the Week 12 win. Patterson received a goal-line carry, but he could not convert it. The explosive gamebreaker faces his former Vikings team next week, but he’s not a highly-recommended fantasy option right now.

Jalen Richard held to 16 yards in loss to the Ravens.

Richard rushed once for one yard and caught two passes (on four targets) for 15 yards. It was a quiet game for the receiving back in what should have been a positive spot against Baltimore’s stout front, but the Raiders had some success early on with Doug Martin, and Derek Carr completed just 16/34 passes. The shootout potential next week against Kansas City should allow Richard to bounce back.

James White gets ten touches against the Jets.

White carried nine times for 73 yards and added one reception (on five targets) for five yards in the Patriots’ Week 12 victory. White had a long run of 27 yards and picked up positive yardage on his rushing attempts, but the Jets did a nice job of limiting him as a receiver. Next week, White faces the Vikings and their strong linebackers and safeties, but he should still offer a nice floor in fantasy lineups.

DeAndre Washington handles four touches in Week 12 loss.

Washington rushed three times for eight yards and added a nine-yard reception on his only target. Oakland’s No. 3 back didn’t see much action with Doug Martin (11 carries for 51 yards and a touchdown) leading the running game, and he’s not a recommended fantasy option right now.
