Peyton Barber scores against the Giants.

Barber carried 18 times for 106 yards and a touchdown along with two receptions for four yards in the Week 11 loss. The score was on a five-yard carry in the fourth quarter to make it a two possession game. This was a new career-high in yardage for Barber, who ran well through initial contact and moved forward for positive yardage. It’s worth keeping in mind the Giants have struggled against the run, so Barber remains more of a stronger FLEX option for Week 12 against the Niners.

Dion Lewis gets 11 touches against the Colts.

Lewis carried ten times for 24 yards and added one reception for eight yards in the Week 11 loss. Derrick Henry (nine carries, 46 yards) has been running the ball better than Lewis, but Lewis appears locked in as the lead back for the Titans. However, considering he hasn’t done much damage the last two weeks, Lewis is more of a FLEX option for Week 12 against the Texans.

Jameis Winston throws two touchdowns in Buccaneers’ loss.

Winston was inserted for Ryan Fitzpatrick, who threw three interceptions, and he nearly led a comeback against the Giants. The former No. 1 overall pick was 12/16 for 199 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception along with five carries for 16 yards. The first score was to Adam Humphries for eight yards, and the second was a dime on a 41-yard deep ball to bring the team within three points with over two minutes to go. Tampa Bay’s quarterback situation has been constantly changing, but Winston will probably be under-center to start next week against the Niners. He carries obvious risk because he could be benched for Fitzpatrick again, but there’s upside in a good matchup.

Derrick Henry gets nine carries in Week 11.

Henry gained 46 yards on his nine attempts, but he was still clearly behind Dion Lewis (ten carries, 24 yards) in what turned into a blowout. We’ll see if the Titans decide to get Henry involved more early and often, but he’s obviously difficult to trust in fantasy lineups right now.

Brandon Lafell tore his Achilles, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

This was the fear when Lafell left today’s win against the Cardinals, and the veteran receiver’s season is now over. Lafell had stepped up today in a receiving corps that’s been hit with injuries (and traded Amari Cooper earlier in the season), so this is a big loss. Lafell’s season ends with 12 receptions for 135 yards and two touchdowns in six games with the Raiders. He’s 32, but Lafell should draw interest around the league this offseason as a big-bodied and experienced receiver; the Raiders might be interested in bringing him back after he played well for them. We wish him luck on his recovery.

Blaine Gabbert throws one touchdown in Week 11.

Gabbert had to relieve Marcus Mariota after Mariota left the game with a hand injury. Gabbert was 11/16 for 118 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. The score was a one-yarder to Tajae Sharpe in the fourth quarter, and the interception was on a short pass over the middle where Gabbert probably just didn’t see the defender there. Gabbert would not be a recommended fantasy option if Mariota misses more time with his injury.

Brandon Lafell (Achilles) is out for the rest of today’s game.

Lafell was injured earlier in the game on a nice back-shoulder high-point catch, but he limped over to the sideline and appeared to be concerned about the injury. Before leaving, Lafell stepped up with Jordy Nelson and Martavis Bryant out, catching two passes for 29 yards and a touchdown. Hopefully this isn’t a ruptured Achilles, but more information should become available within the next 24 hours.
