T.J. Jones catches one pass in Week 11.

Jones gained two yards on his one reception against the Panthers. It was just one game, but Bruce Ellington appears to have immediately passed Jones on the depth chart for Detroit, so Jones is more of a real-life contributor than fantasy option right now.

Alex Smith suffered a broken tibia and fibula.

He’s getting surgery right away, so his season is unfortunately over. This is a tough break for a first-place Redskins team and their quarterback, and the Redskins will now move forward with Colt McCoy including this Thursday in a Thanksgiving matchup with the Cowboys for first place in the NFC East. Smith’s season ends with 2,180 passing yards, ten passing touchdowns, five interceptions, 41 rushing attempts, 145 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown in ten games. Smith wasn’t quite as sharp as usual at certain points this season, but he played mistake-free football and helped get the Redskins in a good spot this late in the season. We wish Smith luck on his recovery and look forward to seeing him back on the field in 2019.

Levine Toilolo catches one pass in Week 11.

Toilolo gained 13 yards on his lone reception against the Panthers. Toilolo is a better real-life contributor than fantasy asset.

Marcus Mariota (hand) did not return against the Colts.

Mariota’s injury is officially called a hand injury, but it could still be related to the elbow issue he had earlier this year which made it difficult to grip the ball. The bottom line is Mariota is not a lock to be ready for Week 12 next Monday night in a huge matchup against the Texans, in which case Blaine Gabbert would be under-center for the Titans. Before leaving today’s game, Mariota was 10/13 for 85 yards and an interception along with four carries for 17 yards.

Bruce Ellington catches six passes in Lions debut.

Ellington gained 52 yards on his six receptions against the Panthers. The veteran receiver has a knack for making immediate impacts with his new teams, and his debut for the Lions was no different. Ellington has entered the FLEX mix for deep PPR leagues, but next week against the Bears is a tough matchup.

O.J. Howard (ankle) is doubtful to return against the Giants.

It doesn’t look like Howard is going to return to the game, but hopefully the injury doesn’t keep him out much longer than today. Before leaving, Howard caught four passes for 78 yards in a strong bounce back from his one-catch, 15-yard game last week.

Kenny Golladay scores in Lions’ win.

With Marvin Jones (knee) out, Golladay was a target monster for the Lions, catching eight passes on 14 targets for 113 yards and a touchdown. The second-year receiver had a 36-yard reception and a 19-yard touchdown reception, with the score coming on a great leaping catch in tight coverage at the front pylon. This performance comes after a 6/78/1 line last week against the Bears, and he’s playing very well right now. Set for another ten-plus targets on Thanksgiving, Golladay is a very strong option for Week 12 fantasy lineups.
