Join now >Rób Gronkowski (ribs) has been ruled out for Thursday night.
It’s not a surprise that Gronkowski is being held out to kickoff Week 6, as he’s been unable to practice for a few weeks, and the team is going to take a cautious approach for a guy that’s dealt with a bunch of injuries throughout his career. This is Gronk’s third consecutive missed game.

The Vikings are signing Luke Stocker to the practice squad, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Stocker could eventually get called up as Minnesota looks to get more out of their tight ends, but he’s not currently on the fantasy radar.

Jarvis Landry (knee) is practicing.
Landry now has three weeks before he must be activated from injured reserve (or spend the season there), which is fully expected. The veteran receiver should have a shot to play in Week 6 against the Cardinals, but we’ll see.

T.Y. Hilton (neck) has officially been designated to return from injured reserve.
Hilton is returning to practice today and now has 21 days to be activated off of injured reserve. The veteran deep threat will help add another element to Indy’s offense when he returns, but he might take a couple of weeks to get back into the swing of things at practice before returning to the active roster. The thought is that he might not be activated until at least Week 7, but Hilton has destroyed the Texans throughout his career and would obviously love to be out there on Sunday.

The Broncos are signing John Brown to the practice squad.
It’s surprising that Brown hasn’t landed with a team on an active roster as at least a rotational deep threat, but he’ll join Denver on the practice squad and will look to work his way up. The Broncos are pretty beat up at receiver, so keep an eye on Brown potentially having a role on offense at some point.

The Dolphins have designated Tua Tagovailoa (ribs) for return from injured reserve.
Tagovailoa has missed the past three games while on injured reserve, but the expectation has always been that he’ll be ready to return when first eligible. Tua will practice this week, and we expect he will be starting for Miami when they face the Jaguars in London this Sunday, but we’ll let you know if anything changes. Tagovailoa is potentially entering a critical stretch as he looks to remain the Dolphins’ starting quarterback long term.

The Chiefs waived Daurice Fountain.
Fountain is victim to the numbers game in the Kansas City receiving corps. For now, Fountain is off the fantasy radar.
