Rod Smith | Panthers RB

Rod Smith handles three touches in win over the Eagles.

Smith rushed twice for eight yards and caught his only target for 14 yards. Ezekiel Elliott’s backup is capable of doing damage when given a chance, but there’s no reason for Dallas to go away from their offensive centerpiece for anything other than a breather down the stretch. Smith is just a handcuff.

Stefon Diggs | Patriots WR

Stefon Diggs (ribs) says he will play this week.

Diggs was on Ian Rapoport’s “Rapsheet and Friends” podcast and told the NFL Network insider that “I know I will play” against the Bears on Sunday night. Diggs missed Week 9 against the Lions with his rib injury and then the Vikings just had a bye week in Week 10, so he’s had enough time to heal and get back on the field. We’ll update you if anything changes, but expect Diggs to be out there for a big NFC North matchup. As usual, he’ll be a strong option in fantasy lineups.

Ezekiel Elliott | Chargers RB

Ezekiel Elliott dominates on 25 touches as Dallas picks up a huge victory over the Eagles.

Elliott rushed 19 times for 151 yards and a touchdown, also adding six carries for 36 yards and another score in a 27-20 win. It was the best game of the year for Zeke, who was just bottled up in losses to Washington and Tennessee, as Dallas badly needed a victory to stay alive in the NFC East and possibly even save jobs. Elliott needs to continue being featured for the Cowboys down the stretch, including next Sunday against the Falcons after they were just shredded by Cleveland’s rookie runner Nick Chubb. He’s back as a solid RB1.

Dwayne Allen | Free Agent TE

Dwayne Allen (knee) is expected to miss a few weeks, according to NFL Network’s Mike Giardi.

Giardi says Allen doesn’t need surgery, which is good to hear, but it sounds like he’s going to miss at least one or two games. Allen is mostly contributing as a blocker for the Patriots, so he’s been off the fantasy radar even with Rob Gronkowski out of the lineup. Hopefully we see Allen back on the field this season, though.

Dak Prescott | Cowboys QB

Dak Prescott, Cowboys pickup huge win over the Eagles on Sunday Night Football, 27-20.

Prescott was 26/36 for 270 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions, also adding six carries for nine yards and a score. He left some plays on the field, but overall, Dak played great in what could be a defining victory to keep the 4-5 Cowboys in the NFC East race by knocking the Eagles to 4-5. The second half last night turned into more of a shootout after Dallas entered the break with a 13-3 lead, and Prescott will likely need to score points once again next week with a trip to Atlanta on deck. Dak remains just a low-end QB2, but the Falcons are certainly vulnerable.

James Conner | Cardinals RB

James Conner is expected to clear concussion protocol tomorrow.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said he expects the second-year running back to practice tomorrow and put any concerns about his Week 11 status to bed. Conner was officially placed in concussion protocol during last Thursday’s blowout win against the Panthers, but it’s thankfully not thought to be too serious. There isn’t much concern about Conner facing the Jaguars this Sunday, but we’ll keep you updated. Le’Veon Bell isn’t expected to report by today’s 4:00 PM ET deadline to sign his franchise tender, but Conner will remain the starter even if Bell does report.

Nick Vannett | Titans TE

Nick Vannett scores against the Rams.

Vannett caught one pass for eight yards and a touchdown in Seattle’s Week 10 win. The score was again a strike to the end zone with some defenders around him, as he again showed good focus to come up with the pass. Vannett will look to make it three straight weeks with a score when he faces the Packers on Thursday night.
