Join now >The Chiefs activated Derrick Gore from the practice squad.
The former undrafted free agent is being called up with Clyde Edwards-Helaire (knee) headed to injured reserve. Gore is someone to keep an eye for the immediate future on in redraft leagues in particular.

The Bengals are signing Elijah Holyfield to the practice squad.
Samaje Perine is on the COVID list, so it makes sense for the Bengals to add another running back to the mix. Holyfield is a no-nonsense runner that could be exciting if he gets called up to the active roster at some point.

The Chiefs signed Elijah McGuire to the practice squad.
McGuire was with Kansas City in each of the past two seasons, so there’s familiarity there. He’ll help with depth in the running back room after Clyde Edwards-Helaire’s MCL sprain.

The Eagles placed Dallas Goedert on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Goedert is vaccinated, so he can return to the team after two negative tests in consecutive days. However, with the Eagles playing on Thursday night to kickoff Week 6, that appears unlikely to happen before his next game. Zach Ertz is set for a heavier workload at tight end against the Bucs in a couple of nights.

Sammy Watkins (hamstring) is officially questionable to return for the Ravens.
Watkins was getting going on this drive with a couple of nice receptions, but he unfortunately tweaked his hamstring on his second catch. Hopefully Watkins can return tonight against the Colts, but we’ll keep you updated.

Trey Lance is dealing with a sprained knee.
This injury wasn’t known yesterday, as Lance apparently felt it bother him when he went to bed last night and didn’t realize he injured the knee during the his first career start against the Cardinals. The Niners are currently on a bye week, so Lance will have some extra time to rest up before Week 7. The hope is that Jimmy Garoppolo (calf) will be ready to play and return as the team’s starter after the week off.

Kenny Golladay (knee) is expected to miss a week.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that, “The initial fear was that it was major… but should be just a week or two.” It’s surprising to hear the Giants thought this was a potentially major injury, and it’s obviously great to hear that is not the case. Consider Golladay week-to-week for now, but hopefully he only misses Week 6 and can return in Week 7.
