Vance McDonald | Retired TE

Vance McDonald scores against the Panthers.

McDonald caught four passes (on four targets) for 44 yards and a touchdown in the Steelers’ Thursday night win, with the score coming on a controversial reception on a throw to the back of the end zone in front of the goal post where McDonald appeared to be bobbling the ball, but it was not even reviewed. Teammate Jesse James later scored a touchdown on a reception in the flat, but fantasy owners will take this performance from McDonald. He’ll remain in streamer consideration next week against Jacksonville.

11/8/18 - 11:21 PM ET

Christian McCaffrey | 49ers RB

Christian McCaffrey scores three touchdowns in Thursday Night Football loss.

McCaffrey rushed 14 times for 77 yards and a touchdown, also adding five receptions (on five targets) for 61 yards and two scores. Carolina ended up getting blown out 52-21, but McCaffrey was the lone bright spot for the team and fantasy owners, as he got things started with a 20-yard touchdown reception on the game’s opening possession and then followed it up with a 25-yard reception on a similar play later in the first half. And despite the game being over in the fourth quarter, the Panthers surprisingly kept the starters in, and the Stanford product was able to score from one yard away on the ground. The touchdowns have piled up for McCaffrey over the past couple weeks, and he is obviously an excellent RB1 in all formats for Week 11 against Detroit.

11/8/18 - 11:21 PM ET

Jaylen Samuels | Free Agent RB

Jaylen Samuels scores first career touchdown in Steelers’ win.

Samuels was second in line behind James Conner in the backfield for the Steelers, carrying five times for seven yards along with three receptions for 22 yards and a touchdown. The score came at the start of the fourth quarter on a screen pass where he leaped into the end zone, and the rookie running back also worked in a two-minute drill that went nowhere at the end of the first half. The Steelers appear to be putting more on Samuels’ plate as the season progresses, but he’s not a fantasy option yet.

11/8/18 - 11:19 PM ET

Cam Newton | Free Agent QB

Cam Newton, Panthers get destroyed by the Steelers on Thursday Night Football, 52-21.

Newton was 23/29 for 193 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception, also adding two carries for ten yards. The night started out great with a 20-yard touchdown throw to Christian McCaffrey, but Cam threw an ugly interception on the next possession, and it was basically all Pittsburgh the rest of the way. While the offensive line didn’t help, Newton held the ball too long at times, and McCaffrey was really the only offense as Carolina dropped to 6-3. The Panthers will stay on the road to face the Lions next week, but Newton should bounce back as an elite QB1 option.

11/8/18 - 11:18 PM ET

Stevan Ridley | Steelers RB

Stevan Ridley gets eight carries in Week 10.

Ridley gained 26 on his eight rushing attempts against the Panthers, as he mixed in behind James Conner, who appeared to be spelled more than usual and left the game at the start of the fourth quarter to be evaluated for a concussion. The veteran running back isn’t a fantasy option right now, especially if Le’Veon Bell returns to the team next week.

11/8/18 - 11:17 PM ET

JuJu Smith-Schuster | Chiefs WR

JuJu Smith-Schuster catches 75-yard touchdown in Steelers’ win.

On Pittsburgh’s first play on offense against Carolina, Smith-Schuster got deep on a wheel route from the slot, and he beat Panthers safety Eric Reid in a footrace on his way to the end zone. JuJu didn’t get a lot going after that, but fantasy owners will certainly take a long touchdown to open Week 10. Overall, Smith-Schuster caught three passes for 90 yards and a touchdown along with one carry for 13 yards. Next week, the second-year receiver faces a Jaguars team he didn’t have a ton of success against in two games as a rookie last season, but he’s too good to keep out of fantasy lineups.

11/8/18 - 11:15 PM ET

Antonio Brown | Free Agent WR

Antonio Brown nears 100 yards with a touchdown against the Panthers.

Brown caught six passes for 97 yards and a touchdown in tonight’s win to kickoff Week 10. The score was a 53-yarder down the right sideline, where Brown probably got away with offensive pass interference against Panthers rookie cornerback Donte Jackson. This makes it seven straight games with a touchdown for AB, and a touchdown in every game but one this season. Even in a matchup with Jalen Ramsey and company next week, Brown is obviously a WR1 in Week 11 fantasy lineups.
