The expectation is that Gibson will play, but Washington fortunately plays early on Sunday if he turns out to be inactive. Either way, J.D. McKissic could have an expanded role with Dyami Brown (knee) and Logan Thomas (hamstring) out.

Curtis Samuel (groin) is officially questionable for Week 5.
Head coach Ron Rivera said Samuel is trending in the right direction, but he could be a game-time decision for an injury that has lingered. If he plays, Samuel will be a decent FLEX option behind Terry McLaurin on an offense missing Logan Thomas (hamstring).

Cam Sims (hamstring) ruled out for Week 5.
Sims could have been in line for a big role with Dyami Brown (knee) and Logan Thomas (hamstring) out for Washington, but he’s been ruled out, too. Adam Humphries will be the No. 2 wideout this week against the Saints if Curtis Samuel (groin) is unable to suit up.

Dyami Brown (knee) ruled out for Week 5.
The rookie was unable to practice this week, and he’ll miss Sunday’s matchup against the Saints. Depending on the status of Curtis Samuel (groin), Washington could be very thin behind Terry McLaurin at wide receiver.
10/8/21 - 12:46 PM ET
Rob Gronkowski (ribs) will not play in Week 5.
This will be the second missed game in a row for Gronkowski; the hope is that he will be able to suit up next Thursday night against the Eagles, but we doubt Tampa Bay will play him if not at full strength considering the extent of the injuries. Look for Cameron Brate to be a decent TE2 option after 11 combined targets over the past two weeks.
10/8/21 - 12:21 PM ET
Tee Higgins will play in Week 5.
Higgins is back for Cincinnati ahead of a potential shootout versus Green Bay, and he should immediately be back in the low-end WR2 range for a possible shootout. This news is a slight downgrade to Tyler Boyd and Ja’Marr Chase, but we’d expect the Bengals will pass quite a bit with Joe Mixon (ankle) looking unlikely to play.
10/8/21 - 12:15 PM ET
Russell Wilson laves game with finger injury.
Wilson appeared to dislocate his right middle finger, and after trying to give it a go, he’s now out of the game at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Former Jets second-round pick Geno Smith is now in the game for Seattle as Wilson looks to figure out a grip with the ball on the sideline. If Wilson is unable to return tonight against the Rams, his night would end as 11/16 for 152 yards, one touchdown, and one interception along with two carries for ten yards.
