Join now >The Browns have released Jarvis Landry.
Landry will now have a chance to sign with a new team with free agency just beginning, and we’d expect playing for a contender will be a priority for him. The Titans have been brought up as a destination to reunite with quarterback Ryan Tannehill, and it’d also fill a rotating spot behind A.J. Brown and Julio Jones as the No. 3 wideout. As a volume-reliant option, the fantasy value of Landry will be dependent on landing spot.

James Conner is re-signing with the Cardinals on a three-year deal, according to FOX’s Jay Glazer.
Conner will be back as the clear lead runner in Arizona with Chase Edmonds signing with Miami, which should be good news for both guys from a fantasy perspective. For Conner in particular, he will have a case for high-end RB2 value after scoring 18 touchdowns last season, and it will be interesting to see what other moves are made for the Cardinals as Christian Kirk and A.J. Green enter free agency—not to mention Kyler Murray wanting a huge contract extension for himself. In addition to his tough running in 2021, Conner averaged a career-high 9.6 yards per target in Kliff Kingsbury’s offense.

Chase Edmonds is signing with the Dolphins on a two-year, $12.6-million deal.
Miami is striking quickly on a lead back for Mike McDaniel, and the new head coach saw Edmonds up close in the Niners’ matchups with Arizona. The soon-to-be 26-year-0ld has totaled 850+ yards in back-to-back seasons for the Cardinals, so he should have a solid floor as at least a strong FLEX option assuming no other big moves—like an early draft selection at the position—are made by the Dolphins. For those making moves in dynasty leagues, it is worth noting that the 2022 draft class is very deep at running back, including some early-down complements the team might consider pairing with Edmonds.

The Lions are re-signing Tim Boyle.
Boyle started three games while Jared Goff was out last season, and the Lions feel good about him as a depth option at quarterback. The former Packers quarterback is in a good spot with Detroit, where he’ll look to continue to develop.

Davante Adams reportedly says he won’t play on the franchise tag.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Adams has told the Packers that he won’t play on the franchise tag this season. The two sides have until July 15 to come to a long-term contract agreement, otherwise Adams would be stuck on the franchise tag an in an interesting situation. With Aaron Rodgers returning to Green Bay, hopefully he would give the Packers a nudge in the right direction to get the elite target locked up to a long-term deal, but Adams could be asking for an astronomical amount of money given his talent and production, so we’ll see what happens.

The Patriots re-signed Brian Hoyer.
Hoyer is an experienced backup and a good presence for young franchise quarterback Mac Jones, so this re-signing is not surprising. The veteran Hoyer should help with the Patriots offense transitioning without offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.

The Vikings are signing Kirk Cousins to a one-year, $35-million extension.
This keeps Cousins under contract with Minnesota through 2023, and it’s a clear commitment from the new regime as him as their quarterback this season, despite the rumors. This, paired with Tom Brady’s unretirement, is leading to a clearer picture of the teams that might be looking for starting quarterbacks when free agency kicks off this week. Cousins’ return should be great news for Justin Jefferson and the offense from a fantasy perspective in 2022.
