Join now >Frank Gore gets 12 carries in Week 8.
Gore gained 53 yards on his 12 attempts against the Texans, and he also added one reception (on two targets) for five yards. As usual, the veteran running back kept moving forward and picking up positive yardage when giving rushing room on his attempts. Gore is on pace for 168 carries, 770 rushing yards, 12 receptions, 124 receiving yards, and two receiving touchdowns at the mid-way point in the season.

Lamar Miller goes for season-high 133 rushing yards in TNF victory.
Miller rushed 18 times for 133 yards, including a two-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. The former Dolphin looks great against his former team, showing ideal patience and vision to do damage at the second level, and he’s now strung a couple 100-yard games together in a row. Miller enters the bye on pace for over 1,000 rushing yards and six total touchdowns, but he’s really found his stride over the past five days, and we’ll see if that continues down the stretch. Consider him at least a low-end RB2/FLEX option in all formats for a trip to Denver in Week 9.

Kenyan Drake scores twice against the Texans.
Drake opened the scoring with a 12-yard touchdown run on an outside attempt where he used his great speed to easily zoom to the end zone, and he later scored on a trick play where he caught a 28-yard pass from Danny Amendola. Overall, Drake had 12 carries for 58 yards and a touchdown along with two receptions for 37 yards and a touchdown. He ran the ball well throughout the night, but his two targets were a slight disappointment with Brock Osweiler not really looking his way on check-downs. Through half the season, Drake is on pace for 140 carries, 680 rushing yards, four rushing touchdowns, 54 receptions, 394 receiving yards, and four receiving touchdowns. He’s seen solid involvement in the offense while splitting touches with Frank Gore, and he’ll be a solid fantasy option in Week 9 against a Jets team he scored against back in Week 2.

Deshaun Watson, Texans light up the Dolphins in Thursday Night Football victory.
Watson was 16/20 for 239 yards, five touchdowns, and zero interceptions, also adding a 14-yard rush. Miami kept it close in the first half and entered the break down 14-10, but Watson connected with rookie tight end Jordan Thomas twice for six, then really came alive with a 73-yard touchdown to Will Fuller before tossing his final two scores to DeAndre Hopkins from 49 yards away and two yards away. The 23-year-old is on pace for 4,352 passing yards and a 30:14 touchdown-interception ratio at the midpoint of the season with an extra 460-yard pace on the ground. It’s been up-and-down so far this season, but Watson should be a QB1 down the stretch, including next week in Denver.
10/25/18 - 11:51 PM ET
Danny Amendola throws a touchdown in Dolphins’ loss.
Amendola threw a 28-yard touchdown on a double-pass trick play, hitting a wide-open Kenyan Drake on a nice throw to the opposite side of the field. The former Patriot has shown he can throw the ball well in the past. As a receiver, Amendola caught five passes for 43 yards and might have had a bigger night if he wasn’t held on Brock Osweiler’s lone interception of the game. The veteran receiver is on pace for 70 receptions, 674 yards, and two touchdowns through eight games.
10/25/18 - 11:50 PM ET
Brock Osweiler throws one interception in Thursday night loss.
Osweiler was 21/37 for 241 yards and one interception in the 42-23 loss to the Texans. The first half in particular was solid, and the interception came on a pass where there probably should have been an interference call as Danny Amendola was held up on a deep crossing route. Osweiler also had one of the strangest plays you will ever see when an attempted forward pass traveled backwards as he was hit, and it was overturned from a fumble recovery for a touchdown to an incomplete pass. It’s unclear how close Ryan Tannehill (shoulder) is to a return, but Osweiler won’t be a recommended fantasy option next week against the Jets either way.

Will Fuller V (knee) has been ruled out for the rest of tonight’s game.
Before leaving, Fuller caught five passes for 124 yards and a touchdown against the Dolphins, with the score coming on a 73-yard deep ball on a busted coverage. On the play he was hurt, Fuller drew a 38-yard pass interference that set the Texans up for their fifth passing touchdown of the night. Hopefully Fuller doesn’t miss a lot of time with this knee injury, but for now consider him questionable at best to face the Broncos in Week 9.
