Kenneth Farrow | Free Agent RB

Kenneth Farrow has signed with the Patriots practice squad, according to multiple reports.

Farrow was with New England earlier this year, so a return makes sense for the 25-year-old. He hasn’t appeared in a game since 2016 with the Chargers, but perhaps Farrow will find his way onto the active roster at some point. Right now, he can be ignored for fantasy purposes.

Thomas Rawls | Free Agent RB

The Bengals waved running back Thomas Rawls.

Rawls wasn’t getting playing time for Cincinnati, so we’ll see if he lands someplace else where he might get a crack at running the ball some. We think the former undrafted player has the talent to make an impact somewhere. Perhaps the Eagles will be interested after Jay Ajayi’s season-ending injury.

Darren Sproles | Retired RB

Darren Sproles (hamstring) did not practice today.

We’ll see what happens tomorrow when the official injury report for the game is released, but Sproles’ status doesn’t look good on a short week.

Corey Clement | Free Agent RB

Corey Clement (quadricep) was a full participant in today’ practice.

After Clement was active for an emergency situation in Sunday’s loss to the Vikings, he should be ready to play this Thursday night against the Giants. We’ll update you if Clement happens to be listed on the injury report when it’s released tomorrow, but expect the second-year back to be a key part of the offense to kick off Week 6. With Jay Ajayi (knee) out for the season, both Clement and Wendell Smallwood have 15-touch potential in an offense that hasn’t hit its stride yet this season.

Adrian Peterson | Free Agent RB

Adrian Peterson (shoulder) is not expected to miss any time.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero says Peterson is getting a second opinion, but that the injury is considered a strained shoulder that isn’t expected to force him to miss any time. The Redskins will likely share some information today or tomorrow, but for now expect Peterson to be ready for Week 6 against the Panthers.

Tre'Quan Smith | Broncos WR

Tre’Quan Smith catches first two career touchdowns during record-breaking night.

Lost in Drew Brees breaking the all-time passing yardage mark was an excellent game from the rookie receiver on the receiving end of the record-breaking 62-yard touchdown pass: Tre’Quan Smith. The third-round receiver caught three passes for 111 yards and two touchdown against the Redskins, getting free for the record-breaker and then getting deep for another touchdown later in the game. Smith also had a spectacular toe-tapping catch on the sideline in the game. He’s not a starting fantasy option quite yet, but Smith is certainly someone to keep an eye on moving forward. Smith should be on the radar for waiver-wire pickups this week.

David Grinnage | Jaguars TE

The Jaguars have promoted David Grinnage to the active roster, according to Ian Rapoport.

Grinnage was on the practice squad, but he’s getting elevated with Austin Seferian-Jenkins (core muscle) being placed on injured reserve. The former undrafted out of NC State doesn’t carry much upside and will likely be used as a blocker for the most part.
