Join now >Christian McCaffrey handles 22 touches in 33-31 win over the Giants.
McCaffrey rushed 17 times for 58 yards and caught five passes for 35 yards, including an 18-yard touchdown. It looked like the second-year back had plenty of opportunities to do damage on outlet passes all afternoon, but Cam Newton didn’t really look his way until the second half. Sunday was McCaffrey’s least productive day as a runner, but he was able to find the end zone for the first time of the year. Through four games, he is now on pace for 252 carries for 1,316 yards and a 108/768/4 receiving line. We think the touchdowns should increase soon for Run CMC, and he looks like a high-end RB1 option in all formats with Carolina feeding him as expected so far this season. McCaffrey and the Panthers travel to Washington in Week 6.

Matt LaCossse catches two passes in Broncos’ loss.
LaCosse gained 18 yards on his two receptions against the Jets. LaCosse is not a recommended fantasy option right now.

DaeSean Hamilton catches all three targets against the Jets.
Hamilton gained 44 yards on his three receptions in the Week 5 loss. The rookie receiver isn’t getting enough opportunities to be a fantasy asset in standard leagues at the moment, but he’s a very strong dynasty-league hold.
10/8/18 - 10:31 AM ET
Devontae Booker catches five passes in Week 5.
Booker benefited from the Broncos going into pass-happy mode and throwing 51 passes, and the third-year running back gained 59 yards on his five receptions. Booker is the clear lead receiving back for Denver, but he’s not a highly-recommended fantasy option outside of deeper PPR leagues.
10/8/18 - 10:30 AM ET
Cam Newton, Panthers beat the Giants, 33-31, on last-second field goal.
Newton was 21/35 for 237 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions in the win, also adding eight carries for 29 yards. It wasn’t the game that fantasy owners expected out of Newton, who had a couple bad interceptions and was helped by his receivers making plays after the catch, but he did enough to get Carolina in range for a successful 63-yard field goal as time expired. Through four games, Cam is on pace for 3,532 passing yards with a 28:12 touchdown-interception ratio and 660 yards and 12 scores on the ground; thanks to the rushing production, he should have as much upside as anyone the rest of the way, including next Sunday in Washington.
10/8/18 - 10:27 AM ET
Rhett Ellison caught two passes for 17 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Panthers.
Ellison is expected to get another week as New York’s top tight end with Evan Engram (knee) still recovering on a short week, but he’s mostly a key blocker for the Giants. Keep him on the waiver wire for Week 6.
10/8/18 - 10:20 AM ET
Emmanuel Sanders gets 14 targets in Broncos’ loss.
Sanders’ 14 targets were a team-high, and he caught nine passes for 72 yards in the Week 5 loss to the Jets. Sanders mostly worked as an underneath target for Case Keenum, and his long reception of the day was for 13 yards. Next week, Sanders is in the FLEX conversation against the Rams.
