Jesse James | Raiders TE

Jesse James catches one pass in Pittsburgh’s win over Tampa Bay.

It went for seven yards. The Penn State product went off to start the season, but it was Vance McDonald (4/112/1) that exploded on Monday night. Both are worth considering as high-upside TE2 options in Week 4 against the Ravens.

9/25/18 - 12:00 AM ET

Shaun Wilson | Washington RB

Shaun Wilson catches two passes against the Steelers.

The undrafted rookie running back gained nine yards on his two receptions, and he received no carries in the Monday night loss. It’s good to see Wilson immediately contributing, but his role isn’t quite big enough to deliver fantasy value at the moment.

9/24/18 - 11:59 PM ET

Cameron Brate | Free Agent TE

Cameron Brate scores in Bucs’ loss.

Brate’s first-quarter touchdown from fellow Harvard grad Ryan Fitzpatrick was actually his first catch of the season, as O.J. Howard has emerged as the team’s top tight end through a couple of games. Overall, Brate had three receptions (on four targets) for 34 yards and a touchdown. He might need Jameis Winston, who returns tomorrow from his three-game suspension, to be the starter to deliver TE1 value this season, as the two of them have a really good connection.

9/24/18 - 11:58 PM ET

James Washington | Free Agent WR

James Washington catches two passes for 25 yards in Pittsburgh’s win over the Bucs.

Washington went for gains of 12 and 13 yards over the middle against Tampa Bay, operating as the clear No. 3 receiver behind Antonio Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster. However, Ryan Switzer clearly had some plays designed for him (including a touchdown), so Washington’s floor could take a slight hit if that’s a weekly occurrence. The rookie will look to make an impact on Sunday night against Baltimore.

9/24/18 - 11:57 PM ET

DeSean Jackson | Retired WR

DeSean Jackson catches three passes in Week 3 loss.

Jackson didn’t have a catch in the first half, but he got going in the second half with three receptions for 37 yards. Jackson also had what looked like a long punt return touchdown where he showed off his still-elite speed, but it was called back because of a holding penalty. After starting the season scorching hot, Jackson was bound to come back down to earth a little bit. Consider him a boom/bust FLEX option for Week 4 versus Chicago.

9/24/18 - 11:55 PM ET

Vance McDonald | Retired TE

Vance McDonald rumbles for 75-yard touchdown in win over the Bucs.

McDonald caught four passes for 112 yards and a score, with the highlight coming on a catch-and-run in the first quarter where he delivered a powerful, unforgiving stiff arm to safety Chris Conte and easily sprinted down the sideline for a touchdown. The tight ends have been extremely productive so far this season for the Steelers, but McDonald and Jesse James have been unpredictable as they split time. Consider them both high-upside TE2 options for Week 4 against the Ravens.

9/24/18 - 11:54 PM ET

O.J. Howard | Free Agent TE

O.J. Howard catches six passes in Week 3.

While he didn’t average 27.0 yards or 32.0 yards per reception like he did in the first two games of the season, the monster second-year tight end again showed major flashes for the Bucs. Howard caught six-of-eight targets for 72 yards in the Monday night loss. Cameron Brate scored a touchdown for the Bucs, but Howard was the primary option at the position throughout the night. Howard remains a TE1 option when he faces the Bears next week.
