The Cardinals limited Howard on the ground for the most part, but he was able to punch in a goal-line score—something Arizona has been unable to stop this season—to help make it a productive fantasy day. Overall, Howard had 24 carries for 61 yards and a touchdown along with two receptions for 20 yards. It’s a really good sign to see him continuing to play well as a receiver after all the talk about him being unable to contribute in that department. Howard is a strong option next week against Tampa Bay.

Adam Humphries catches three passes in Week 3.
Humphries gained 30 yards on his three receptions, and he also had a four-yard carry in the loss to Pittsburgh. Humphries would have probably had a touchdown on a zig type of route at the goal line, but he slipped on a muddy surface and couldn’t reach the ball after a diving attempt. Humphries is a good real-life asset for Tampa Bay, but he’s hard to trust in fantasy lineups.

Cooper Kupp breaks loose for 53-yard touchdown in win over the Chargers.
Kupp caught four passes for 71 yards and a score, which came on a dime from Jared Goff as he powered out of a low tackle by Casey Hayward. It looks like Sean McVay’s offense might be even better than it was a season ago, and Kupp has been great so far with lines for 5/52/1, 6/63, and Sunday’s 4/71/1. Despite a difficult matchup with the Vikings on Thursday night, the second-year slot receiver remains a FLEX option in all formats for Week 4.

Peyton Barber gets eight carries against the Steelers.
Barber gained 33 yards on his eight attempts. He was the clear lead ball-carrier against for the Buccaneers, but Tampa Bay abandoned the run after being outscored 24-3 in the second quarter. Barber should get more opportunities on the ground in Week 4 against the Bears.

Mitchell Trubisky throws one interception in Bears’ win.
Arizona had not played well defensively in their first two games of the season, but they played better against Chicago, limiting Jordan Howard on the ground and Trubisky through the air. Trubisky was 24/35 for 220 yards and one interception along with two carries for eight yards in the Week 3 victory. The Bears were down by 14 points early, but they scored 16 unanswered points (13 in the second half) of the win. Next week against the Buccaneers is a good matchup for Trubisky, but there are probably better QB1 options in fantasy lineups.

Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers hold off the Buccaneers on Monday Night Football.
Big Ben was 30/38 for 353 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception in the 30-27 victory. Pittsburgh got off to a hot offensive start with a 75-yard touchdown on a catch-and-run by Vance McDonald in the first quarter, and then Roethlisberger followed it up with a 27-yard score to Antonio Brown and a one-yarder to Ryan Switzer in the second quarter. Over the final 30 minutes, the Steelers were mostly contained, but they made enough plays at the end of the game to run out the clock and keep the ball out of Ryan Fitzpatrick’s hands. Back at home in Week 4 against the Ravens (on Sunday Night Football), Big Ben remains a solid QB1, even in a tough matchup.
9/24/18 - 11:40 PM ET
Brandin Cooks caught seven passes for 90 yards in Sunday’s win over the Chargers.
Cooks has yet to find the end zone through three weeks, but he’s been great for Los Angeles with yardage totals of 87, 159, and 90. The Vikings are an imposing matchup on Thursday night, but Cooks might be able to avoid Xavier Rhodes if the superstar cornerback either plays sides or follows Robert Woods. No matter what, Cooks is difficult to take out of lineups as a high-upside WR2 in Sean McVay’s offense with Jared Goff at the controls.
