Join now >Latavius Murray handles just seven touches in Week 3 start as the Vikings are upset at home.
In an out-of-nowhere 27-6 loss to Buffalo, Murray rushed twice for one yard and caught five passes for 30 yards. The veteran looked to be a home-run RB1/RB2 option for a team that was a three-score favorite, but Minnesota trailed 17-0 at the end of the first quarter and completely abandoned the running game for whatever reason, instead opting for 55 pass attempts. Though it was by no fault of his own, Murray’s performance might cause fantasy owners to drop him immediately, but he remains an elite handcuff with RB1 potential; that said, if Dalvin Cook (hamstring) misses another game on Thursday night, Murray would be more of a low-end RB2 in a very difficult matchup against the Rams.

Brandon Lafell doesn’t catch a pass in Week 3.
Lafell was active for the Raiders for the first time, but he wasn’t a huge part of the offense. The veteran receiver is just someone to keep an eye on, and he’s unlikely to deliver much fantasy value as long as Martavis Bryant remains unsuspended.

Mike Boone handles three touches in Week 3 loss.
Boone rushed twice for 11 yards and caught a pass for no gain. The undrafted free agent saw some work with Dalvin Cook (hamstring) out, but Minnesota ended up running just six times in a shocking loss. Whether or not Cook is back on Thursday night, Boone isn’t a recommended fantasy option.

Dwayne Harris catches two passes in Week 3.
Harris gained 11 yards on his two receptions, as he got more playing time with Seth Roberts a healthy inactive. Harris is not on the fantasy radar in standard leagues.

Amari Cooper gets shut down by Xavien Howard in Week 3.
Cooper was tasked with going up against one of the league’s top corners, and he couldn’t get much going, catching two-of-five targets for 17 yards. Cooper had an opportunity when Derek Carr took a deep shot to him, but he stopped running—while Howard did not—and it was intercepted. It might have been a long gain or a touchdown if Cooper saw the ball and didn’t just stop running. Cooper will try to get back on track when he faces the Browns in Week 4.

Kirk Cousins, Vikings shocked at home in 27-6 loss to Buffalo.
Cousins was 40/55 for 296 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and three fumbles (two lost) as Minnesota was dominated as three-score home favorites. Outside of an explosive fourth quarter in last week’s tie against the Packers, it hasn’t been a promising start for the Vikings offense, and even with Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib banged up, things won’t get any easier against the Rams on Thursday night, as Aaron Donald and Ndamukong Suh could wreck the game against Minnesota’s sub-par offensive line. Cousins should be considered a borderline QB1 option thanks to his weapons, but there is definite downside in Week 4.
9/24/18 - 11:27 AM ET
Jared Cook catches five passes in Week 3.
Cook gained 31 yards on his five receptions (six targets) against the Dolphins. It would’ve been a really solid day for the Raiders tight end if not for a review overturned what was initially ruled a touchdown (Cook’s knee was down). Cook will be in the TE1 conversation for Week 4 against Cleveland.
