Join now >Drew Brees, Saints win overtime shootout against the Falcons, 43-37.
Brees went 39/49 for 396 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions, also adding three carries for seven yards and two scores, including the game-winner from one-yard out. In what amounted to one of the best game’s of his career, Brees set the record for completions in a career, topping Brett Favre’s mark of 6,300 passes completed. The future Hall of Fame quarterback looks like an elite option again, and he will be ranked as such heading into a road matchup with the Giants next Sunday.

Tevin Coleman handles 17 touches in 43-37 loss to the Saints.
Coleman rushed 15 times for 33 yards and caught two passes for 14 yards, including a five-yard touchdown. The Saints made it tough for Atlanta to get going on the ground, as Coleman was basically bottled up besides a 15-yard run on the edge, but he was able to show great balance on his score. With Devonta Freeman (knee) still up in the air and sounding unlikely to return in Week 4, Coleman should again be treated as a high-upside RB1, particularly in a better matchup against a Bengals team that just allowed Christian McCaffrey to rushed for 184 yards. Through three games, Coleman has been extremely consistent with point totals of nine, 11, and ten in standard leagues; he should break some big plays soon.

Case Keenum throws one interception in Broncos’ loss.
Denver started the game hot with a couple of first-quarter touchdown runs by Emmanuel Sanders and Royce Freeman, but they were shutout by Baltimore the rest of the way. Keenum was 22/34 for 192 yards and one interception. It was a very difficult matchup with the stingy Ravens defense coming off a loss and a mini bye week. Keenum has some sneaky QB1 upside in a Week 4 matchup in which the Broncos are probably going to have to score to keep up with the Chiefs.

Saquon Barkley scores in Week 3.
Barkley had another great game to start his NFL career, carrying 17 times for 82 yards and a touchdown along with five receptions (on five targets) for 35 yards. The score was a 15-yard touchdown in which Barkley went up the middle and then bounced outside when he got to the second level and brushed off a couple of Texans defenders on his way to the end zone. Keep Barkley locked in as an excellent RB1 for Week 4 against the Saints.

Chris Conley scores in Chiefs’ win.
Conley was targeted three times against the Niners, catching two passes for 13 yards and a touchdown. The score was on a spectacular scrambling play by Patrick Mahomes, who lasered as pass to the corner of the end zone while on the run; but Conley did a really nice job of making himself available for his quarterback. Conley is another great athlete in a stacked offense, but his role isn’t big enough to deliver consistent fantasy value.

Eli Manning plays well as giants pick up first win of the season.
Manning was again under pressure and was sacked four times against the Texans, but Pat Shurmur and the coaching staff did a good job of putting their players in positions to make plays in the Week 3 victory. Manning was 25/29 for 297 yards and two touchdowns, with the scores going to Sterling Shepard and Rhett Ellison. The touchdown to Shepard basically put the game away, as it put the Giants up two possessions. Next week, Eli faces a Saints team that’s been torched through the air this season, so he has QB1 upside in fantasy lineups.
9/24/18 - 09:06 AM ET
Demetrius Harris scores against the Niners.
Harris was wide open in the end zone for a 13-yard touchdown. He’ll make plays when his number is called, but Harris isn’t a recommended fantasy option in a stacked Chiefs offense.
