Join now >Aaron Jones returns to lead team in rushing as the Packers fall on the road.
Jones rushed six times for 42 yards in the 31-17 loss, also adding a five-yard reception. The second-year back was suspended for two games to start the year, but he immediately led Green Bay in carries ahead of Jamaal Williams (five) and Ty Montgomery (four). It was thought that Jones would need to wait a bit to perhaps get a shot at being the lead back, but it appears it may have already happened. That said, Sunday was a small sample size in a game that the Packers trailed, so we’ll see if we get more clarity next week against Buffalo. For now, all three runners should be considered dicey FLEX options.

Bruce Ellington (hamstring) did not return against the Giants.
Ellington suffered a hamstring injury early in the game, and he had one catch for ten yards before leaving. Hopefully his hamstring injury isn’t too bad so he can get back on the field soon.

Jordan Akins catches one pass in Texans’ loss.
Akins gained 18 yards on his lone reception. The 26-year-old third-round rookie has a reception in each of his first three games, but he’s not a recommended fantasy option yet.

Ryan Griffin catches two passes against the Giants.
The Texans were able to have some success attack the Giants defense with their tight ends, and Griffin gained 44 yards on his two receptions. Griffin is not a reliable fantasy option in a crowded tight end group.

Aaron Rodgers, Packers fall on the road to the Redskins, 31-17.
Rodgers was 27/44 for 265 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions, also rushing twice for 13 yards. Green Bay quickly faced a 14-0 deficit and then a 21-3 deficit, but the offense just kept stalling in the second half of a comeback attempt. The team probably needs to rely more on the running game (100 yards on 17 attempts) against the Bills next Sunday to avoid being upset like the Vikings just were, but at least it comes at home for the Packers. As usual, consider Rodgers a high-end QB1 despite his injured knee.

Jordan Thomas catches both targets in Week 3.
Thomas gained 53 yards on his two receptions against the Giants, with gains of 39 yards and 14 yards. The rookie tight end from Mississippi State is more of a dynasty-league option for now, but he’s someone to keep an eye on.

DeAndre Hopkins catches six passes in Week 3.
Hopkins was targeted ten times against the Giants, gaining 86 yards on his six receptions. The star receiver has at least 78 yards in each of his first three games, and he offers among the highest floors in a Week 4 matchup against the Colts.
