Join now >George Kittle held in check as Niners top the Lions.
Kittle caught two passes for 22 yards in the 30-27 victory. Detroit did a nice job taking away the second-year tight end after an impressive performance in the opener, but fantasy owners who are disappointed shouldn’t jump off the bandwagon with a game against the Chiefs—who just allowed Jesse James to go for 5/138/1—on deck. Kittle remains a solid TE1 play.

DeAndre Washington (knee) is inactive for Week 2.
Washington is close to a return after being listed as questionable for today’s game against the Broncos, but he’s inactive. Washington is off the fantasy radar at the moment.

Garrett Celek scores in Week 2 win over Detroit.
Celek caught an 11-yard score in the second half, and he also had another 11-yard reception in the game. The touchdown came in contested coverage, but Celek fought his way into the end zone for six. George Kittle remains the preferred fantasy option heading into a matchup with the Chiefs.

Sony Michel (knee) is officially active for Week 2.
The explosive first-round rookie running back will make his NFL debut in a big matchup in Jacksonville versus the Jaguars. Michel is difficult to trust in fantasy lineups in his first NFL action, but it’ll be fun to watch him hit the field.
9/16/18 - 02:56 PM ET
Dante Pettis catches 35-yard pass in Week 2 win.
It was his only reception of the game, which was disappointing for those who expected a big performance with Marquise Goodwin out. Still, Pettis should again be worth looking into as a streaming option in all leagues next week against the soft secondary of the Chiefs, especially because the game could turn into a shootout.
9/17/18 - 01:11 PM ET
Rex Burkhead (concussion) is officially active against the Jaguars.
Burkhead cleared concussion protocol and is ready to go against Jacksonville. Despite a very difficult matchup, you can insert Burkhead into lineups as a FLEX option because of his touchdown potential as the likely goal-line back for the Patriots.
9/16/18 - 02:55 PM ET
Pierre Garcon leads team in receiving with Marquise Goodwin inactive.
Garcon caught four passes for 57 yards in the 30-27 win over the Lions. Overall, it was a low-volume passing attack with Jimmy Garoppolo throwing it just 26 times for 206 yards, but Garcon also made an impact as a blocker—which shouldn’t be surprising—on Matt Breida’s 66-yard touchdown run. The veteran gets a great matchup in Week 3 against Kansas City, so he should at least be a quality FLEX option whether or not Goodwin returns.
