Roethlisberger was a full participant in today’s practice, and it would be a major surprise if he does not play in the Week 2 contest against Kansas City. Roethlisberger should be active when the game statuses are released around 11:30 AM ET on Sunday.
9/14/18 - 04:03 PM ET
Aaron Rodgers (knee) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Vikings.
This sounds like a true game-time decision depending on how Rodgers feels and/or can move, especially since he’s facing a scary Minnesota defense. Fantasy owners should already be thinking of a backup plan in case the star quarterback can’t play. If he does suit up, Rodgers is still a midrange QB1 at less than 100%, as he has a 13:2 touchdown-interception ratio against the Vikings since Mike Zimmer took over as their head coach.
9/14/18 - 04:02 PM ET
Marquise Goodwin (quad) is out for Week 2.
The Niners declared Goodwin day-to-day earlier this week, so it’s a surprise that he’s been declared out ahead of the weekend. He’s just been unable to get that leg feeling right heading into the weekend, so rookie Dante Pettis will draw the start opposite Pierre Garcon. Pettis might be worth a look in lineups this week, particularly in deeper leagues.
9/14/18 - 04:01 PM ET
DeAndre Hopkins (foot) is listed as questionable for Week 2.
If there was still a probable designation, Hopkins would almost certainly be listed as that. There isn’t much question he’ll be out there on Sunday against the Titans, so expect him to be active when the actives/inactives are released on 11:30 AM ET Sunday.
9/14/18 - 03:59 PM ET
Will Fuller (hamstring) is officially listed as questionable for Week 2.
Fuller said yesterday that he feels good and expects to be out there on Sunday, and head coach Bill O’Brien said today that things are looking good for the third-year receiver’s status. The Texans play at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday, so we’ll know his status for certain an hour-and-a-half before kickoff.
9/14/18 - 03:57 PM ET
Jon Gruden says he thinks Jalen Richard can be “great” as a receiving back.
Gruden said that sometimes the running back against the linebacker is often the best matchup, and he mentioned how the Patriots do such a good job of utilizing their running backs as receivers. He then said he thinks Richard can be great and has shown major glimpses in that area, adding that he got open and could’ve had a 60-yard gain in Monday’s loss (Richard dropped the pass). Clearly, Richard is going to have a sizable role as a receiver for Oakland this season, and he should probably be owned in all PPR leagues. He’s worth a look in standard leagues, too.
9/14/18 - 03:43 PM ET
DeAndre Washington (knee) is officially questionable for Week 2.
Even if he is active, Washington is off the fantasy radar until we see him back in action making an impact. The Raiders play in the late-afternoon games on Sunday, so his status probably won’t be known until after the 1:00 PM ET games have kicked off.
