Join now >Lamar Jackson carries twice in Week 2.
The rookie quarterback was used in a handful of plays by Baltimore, mostly as either a decoy or a quarterback on zone-reads and options. Jackson gained six yards on his two carries against the Bengals. He’s not getting enough work to be a fantasy option right now.

Devonta Freeman (knee) is not practicing today.
Head coach Dan Quinn said that Freeman is sore, but his knee is apparently structurally sound. Still, despite claiming he was fine after Week 1, Freeman appears to be truly questionable for Sunday’s NFC North clash with the Panthers. Fantasy owners should get more clarity tomorrow and Friday, but Atlanta’s starter is shaping up as a risky FLEX if he suits up. If not, Tevin Coleman would get a boost as a top-15 play with elite upside, even in a tough matchup.

Joe Mixon handles 22 touches in Week 2 win over the Ravens.
Mixon exited the game twice with a knee issue, but that didn’t stop him from being fed whenever he was in the game, including on the team’s final drive. The second-year back finished with 21 carries for 84 yards and added a three-yard reception. It was an impressive performance against Baltimore’s stout front, and it’s clear that Mixon will be featured by Cincinnati and should be treated as an every-week RB1 regardless of matchup; he was very close to breaking a big play on more than one occasion against the Ravens.

The Raiders are waiving Keon Hatcher.
Hatcher initially made the team over Martavis Bryant, but now the 2017 undrafted receiver is being waived to make room for Bryant’s return. Hatcher might land on the practice squad in Oakland after he impressed this summer.

Maxx Williams catches three passes in Ravens’ loss.
Williams gained 31 yards on his three receptions, catching all three targets. He also lined up at fullback and gained seven yards on his lone carry to convert a first down. Williams isn’t a reliable fantasy option, but it’s good to see the former second-round pick contribute for Baltimore.

Kenneth Dixon (knee) is out “indefinitely” according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Dixon is obviously out for tomorrow night’s game against the Bengals, and it sounds like he’ll be out for at least the rest of the month. Alex Collins and Javorius Allen will handle nearly all of the backfield work for Baltimore moving forward. It’s possible Dixon hits injured reserve soon.

Javorius Allen converts goal-line carry against the Bengals.
Allen again received a nice workload splitting work with Alex Collins (12 touches) in Baltimore’s backfield, carrying six times for eight rushing yards and a rushing touchdown while adding five receptions (on seven targets) for 36 receiving yards. The first goal-line carry for the Ravens went to Allen, who converted to help deliver a solid fantasy outing. Collins did also perform well as a receiver, so some work could be taken away there. Right now, this is a pretty evenly split backfield, so they both have fantasy value. Consider Allen a FLEX option in PPR leagues for Week 3 against the Broncos.
