Jalen Richard | Free Agent RB

Jalen Richard gets 14 touches in Week 1 loss.

Richard’s 14 touches led Oakland’s backfield, but a lot of it was late in the game in passing situations where he was the target of dump-offs. The third-year back had five carries for 24 rushing yards along with nine receptions for 55 receiving yards. Ideally for the Raiders, Richard won’t be as heavily involved as a receiver in Week 2. He’s not a recommended option in fantasy lineups.

Curtis Samuel | Bills WR

Ron Rivera says there is no timetable for Curtis Samuel’s return.

Samuel had a procedure for an irregular heartbeat ahead of last week’s season opener, and he remains out of practice. It sounds like this is a week-to-week thing, so we’ll update you when Samuel is able to get back on the practice field.

Pharoh Cooper | Free Agent WR

Pharoh Cooper held without an offensive touch before leaving Week 1 win with an ankle injury.

Cooper returned three kicks and two punts on Monday night, but he exited the game and went back to the locker room in the second half. Hopefully the All-Pro returner isn’t dealing with anything serious. He isn’t a fantasy factor, but Cooper is obviously an important piece for the Rams on special teams.

Ray-Ray McCloud | Falcons WR

Ray-Ray McCloud (knee) misses practice.

McCloud hasn’t practiced this regular season yet, and it would be a major surprise if he plays in Week 2. The rookie receiver might be ruled out tomorrow ahead of the weekend.

9/13/18 - 02:50 PM ET

Jared Goff | Lions QB

Jared Goff, Rams start 1-0 with 33-13 victory over the Raiders.

Goff went 18/33 for 233 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions in the win. The first touchdown came on a touch pass to Todd Gurley from 19 yards out in the game’s opening quarter, and the second was an eight-yard throw to Cooper Kupp in the second half. Sean McVay used a lot of play-action passes to get Goff on the move some, and he had plenty of time to throw all night. The former No. 1 pick looks extremely poised to start his third season, and Los Angeles should only get better offensively as the year gets going (remember, Goff and many of the key players didn’t even play in the preseason). Following a tough stretch to finish the month (v ARI, v LAC, v MIN), Goff should be back in no-doubt QB1 territory.

9/11/18 - 01:36 AM ET

DeVante Parker | Retired WR

DeVante Parker (finger) was a full participant in practice.

Dolphins head coach Adam Gase expressed optimism about Parker’s status earlier today, adding that his big receiver is “itching to play.” After missing the Week 1 win against the Titans, Parker is ready to go for this Sunday against the Jets. Miami has a lot of weapons the ball will be spread around to, but Parker is likely to step right back into the lineup as a starter and full-time player. Remember, Parker was able to stay in shape during his absence because it was a finger injury that did not prevent him from doing cardio and other work—he just couldn’t catch. There’s upside, but consider Parker more of a weak FLEX in his first game of 2018.

9/13/18 - 02:45 PM ET

Malcolm Brown | Free Agent RB

Malcolm Brown spells Todd Gurley with three touches in Week 1 win.

Brown rushed once for five yards and caught two passes for 18 yards. The clear No. 2 running back (he was the only runner other than Gurley to be active) for Sean McVay’s offense, Brown would have fantasy relevance if the superstar starter ever goes down.
