Join now >The Broncos waived Isaiah McKenzie.
McKenzie was selected in the third round of last year’s draft, but the writing was basically on the wall after the team drafted Courtland Sutton and DaeSean Hamilton this year. McKenzie will likely land with another team soon.

Jermaine Kearse (abdomen) is inactive for the season opener.
New York will go with the trio of Robby Anderson, Quincy Enunwa, and Terrelle Pryor in Sam Darnold’s first career start. Anderson could see a lot of Darius Slay, so Enunwa and Pryor are interesting last-minute desperation options. Hopefully Kearse can heal up and perhaps get back into the starting lineup.

Ameer Abdullah is inactive for the Lions.
Abdullah is a healthy scratch, so Detroit is going with LeGarrette Blount, Theo Riddick, and rookie Kerryon Johnson in the backfield tonight against the Jets. Abdullah is off the fantasy radar at this point.

The Patriots waived Chad Hansen.
The 2017 fourth-round pick of the Jets was claimed by New England, but he’s gone after a couple of weeks. This, along with the release of Riley McCarron and the placement of Jeremey Hill (knee) on injured reserve, means the Patriots have three roster spots open. Perhaps 2016 first-round pick Corey Coleman could be an option at receiver for the Pats.

The Patriots waived Riley McCarron.
McCarron dropped a punt in yesterday’s game, and unfortunately it might have contributed to his release. Perhaps the Patriots will bring him back at some point, though.

Kenneth Dixon limped off at the end of yesterday’s win against the Bills.
Dixon is apparently dealing with a knee injury, but the extent of the injury is unclear. It’s unfortunate for Dixon, who has struggled to stay healthy throughout his career. Hopefully it’s not too serious and Dixon can get back on the field soon.

Leonard Fournette’s hamstring injury is considered minor, Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone said.
Fournette has already said he’s going to play next week and that he didn’t return to yesterday’s game as a precaution. Nevertheless, we’ll keep a close eye on the injury report throughout the week. Unfortunately, the Jaguars play in the late-afternoon game this week, so hopefully we get clarity on the situation ahead of the weekend.
