Join now >Philip Rivers, Chargers drop ninth-straight game to the Chiefs.
Rivers went 34/51 for 424 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception in the 38-28 defeat. The veteran quarterback got off to a great start for fantasy owners against a team that he typically struggles against, finding Austin Ekeler for a 13-yard score in the first half before connecting with Keenan Allen and Tyrell Williams in the fourth quarter. Rivers will look to keep it going against a Buffalo team that just had 47 points put up on them by the Ravens. He’s a solid QB1 option.

Tyler Lockett catches long touchdown in Week 1 loss.
Lockett was targeted four times by Russell Wilson against the Broncos, catching three passes for 59 yards and a touchdown. The score was a 51-yard deep ball where Lockett ran a route deep down the field that he broke off to the corner to get wide-open for six. Lockett might become Wilson’s primary target if Doug Baldwin (knees) misses time.

Will Dissly leads the Seahawks in Week 1 receiving.
This was quite the debut for the fourth-round rookie tight end, who caught three passes for 105 yards and a touchdown for Seattle. Dissly’s score was on a 15-yard pass where he got wide open off a play-action fake. Then later, Dissly had a 66-yard catch-and-run that he nearly took all the way. Dissly split tight-end snaps with Nick Vannett, but Week 1 probably gave him a leg up moving forward. It’s risky to trust him in fantasy lineups next week against the Bears, though.

De’Anthony Thomas scores in Week 1 win.
Thomas went in motion and caught a one-yard touchdown on his only offensive touch of the game. The original Black Mamba will mostly be used as a returner for Kansas City, so he can be ignored for fantasy purposes on a loaded offense.

Travis Kelce held in check as Chiefs defeat the Chargers, 38-28.
Kelce caught just one pass for six yards, as Los Angeles has done a nice job containing him since last year. Fortunately for Kansas City, Tyreek Hill and others went off, and that could open things up for Kelce in Week 2. He should be considered a top-three tight end play against the Steelers.

Rashaad Penny gets 11 touches in NFL debut.
The rookie running back received more touches than starter Chris Carson (10), but Carson outperformed him on the ground. Penny had seven carries for eight rushing yards and four receptions for 35 receiving yards in the loss to Denver, but Carson did lose a fumble in the game, which could potentially open the door for Penny. Overall, Penny is probably only a Week 2 starting option in PPR leagues.

Chris Conley catches one pass in Week 1 win.
It went for 15 yards. We like Conley’s talent, but he will have a difficult time turning into a fantasy contributor with everyone from Tyreek Hill to Anthony Sherman getting involved on Kansas City’s offense.
