The Charges placed Hunter Henry (knee) on reserve/PUP.

This is a major surprise, as Henry could’ve been placed on injured reserve. Instead, the Chargers might be hopeful that Henry can return sooner than most expect after suffering a torn ACL during offseason workouts. This is just something to keep in mind, but ultimately Henry probably wouldn’t be ready to return to the field until late in the postseason, if at all this year.

The Colts placed Ross Travis on injured reserve.

Travis’ season is now over. He was not expected to have a big role as a receiver this season, so he was off the fantasy radar.

The Colts waived Reece Fountain.

Fountain was drafted in the fifth round this year and played well in the preseason, so this is a bit of a surprise; though the Colts just acquired receiver Marcus Johnson from the Seahawks. The Colts will likely try to get Fountain o the practice squad.

Devon Cajuste reportedly did not make Cleveland’s 53-man roster.

Spoiler alert for those watching HBO’s Hard Knocks. We thought Cajuste might have done enough to make the final roster for the Browns, but the team has a deep tight end group. They might try to get him on the practice squad, but we suspect other teams might try to claim him off waivers.

The 49ers waived wide receiver Aaron Burbridge.

The former Michigan State receiver impressed this preseason, but he just misses making San Francisco’s 53-man roster. Burbridge will receive interest elsewhere, and he might land on the Niners practice squad if not.

The Seahawks waived Alex McGough.

Brett Hundley, who was recently acquired from the Packers, is locked into the No. 2 quarterback role, so this is not a surprise. Expect Seattle to get McGough onto the practice squad if he clears waivers.

The 49ers waived Jeremy McNichols.

This was expected after the team signed veteran Alfred Morris. McNichols will land somewhere else soon and might be claimed.
