Elijah Hood (knee) is out for the rest of tonight’s preseason game.

Unfortunately, injuries are piling up quickly tonight. Hopefully Hood’s injury isn’t serious.

The Seahawks traded Marcus Johnson to the Colts, according to Brady Henderson.

Marcus Johnson, who came over from the Michael Bennett trade with Philadelphia, played well for Seattle this preseason—Russell Wilson even said he thought Johnson could be a future star. However, the Seahawks have a deep receiver group and decided to deal him to Indianapolis. With the Colts, Johnson rejoins Frank Reich, who was the offensive coordinator last year with the Eagles. He has a chance to eventually seize the No. 2 receiver role in Indy.

Zach Zenner (back) is out for the rest of tonight’s preseason game.

Zenner is battling for a roster spot in Detroit, so this obviously comes at a bad time. But hopefully the injury isn’t too serious moving forward.

The Patriots waived quarterback Danny Etling.

Etling just led New England to a win in the last preseason game on Thursday, and Bill Belichick talked about how hard of a worker he is; but New England is only going with two quarterbacks on the 53-man roster. They are almost certainly going to try to get Etling on the practice squad if he clears waivers.

Matt Barkley (knee) is out for the rest of tonight’s preseason game.

Barkley was injured in the first quarter against the Colts and has already been ruled out, and he also appeared to be limping pretty good on the sideline Hopefully the injury isn’t as bad as it looks, but we should get more information tonight or tomorrow.

The Texans placed D’Onta Foreman (Achilles) on the PUP list.

The second-year running back is now going to miss the first six games of the regular season. This isn’t a surprise considering Foreman’s Achilles injury is seen as a particularly bad one. Alfred Blue is locked in as the clear main backup behind Lamar Miller to open the year, and Miller could get a heavy workload this season. Foreman is no lock to be ready when he comes off the PUP, but hopefully his recovery progresses to the point that he can play this season.

The Buccaneers waived Charles Sims with an injury settlement.

Sims was placed on injured reserve a week ago, but now he’ll have a chance to sign with another team and play this season. Sims is not on the fantasy radar right now.
