Join now >The Saints have released wide receiver Josh Huff.
Huff was in a tough spot competing for a job in a crowded receivers room in New Orleans. The 2014 third-round pick of the Eagles is still just 26, and he should receive some interest from other teams.

The Browns released wide receiver Jeff Janis.
Especially with Josh Gordon back with the team, Janis had a tough task making Cleveland’s final 53-man roster. The 27-year-old will likely draw interest from other teams.

J.D. McKissic is expected to miss four-to-six weeks with a Jones’ fracture, according to Adam Schefter.
McKissic impressed last season with a 34/266/2 receiving line, but he was likely set to open 2018 with a minimal role at best. The 25-year-old is unlikely to become a factor this season with Chris Carson, Rashaad Penny, and C.J. Prosise all ahead of him for touches. He will hope to be back before October.

Ben Roethlisberger expects “big things” from Justin Hunter.
Antonio Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster are obviously locked in as Pittsburgh’s top two receivers, but Hunter should not be counted out seizing the number three role. At the very least, he’ll likely mix in on offense. Just keep Hunter in mind, particularly in deeper leagues.

Eli Rogers has been suspended one game for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.
Rogers re-signed with Pittsburgh at the end of July, and he should operate as the team’s No. 4 receiver behind Antonio Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and rookie James Washington when he’s back. This suspension doesn’t really change much for fantasy purposes, but Washington could see a full compliment of snaps in the opener, which is something to keep in mind over the next couple weeks. Rogers shouldn’t be drafted in 10- or 12-team leagues, but he will return in Week 2.

The 49ers are waiving running back Joe Williams.
The 2017 fourth-round pick was a favorite of head coach Kyle Shanahan’s, but the Niners are deep at running back and are moving on. Williams could be a practice squad candidate if no one else picks him up.

The Seahawks are hoping that Ed Dickson (groin) is back for the regular season opener.
Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times said that head coach Pete Carroll hopes that the veteran is back in time for Week 1, but from a fantasy perspective, his chances of making an early-season impact seem slim after missing training camp. Dickson turned 31 last month and caught 30 passes for 437 yards and one touchdown last year in Carolina. Nick Vannett and rookie Will Dissly are the other options on the roster, but it’s probably a group to avoid for fantasy owners.
