Join now >The John Brown hype continues.
With the former Cardinals receiver healthy and making an impact this summer, Ryan Mink of BaltimoreRavens.com writes “Dear Fantasy Football Owners… John Brown is tearing it up at training camp.” Ravens head coach John Harbaugh talked about Brown’s big game versus the Ravens in 2015, the season he had over 1,000 yards with Arizona, saying that it was an “eye-opening experience” and that Brown “ran a 7-route (a post) just as smooth and fast as I’ve ever seen one run.” But Harbaugh says Brown has come in here and run everything, from the deep routes, to the comebacks, outs, stops, stages, drives, shallow crosses: “he’s a complete receiver.” Baltimore is very happy with their revamped receiving corps to this point, and there could be a few strong fantasy options in the passing game in 2018.

The Bears have signed veteran running back Knile Davis.
Davis played under Chicago’s new head coach Matt Nagy with the Chiefs in 2016, and he is still just 26 despite being out of the league last year. The veteran will look to latch on as the team’s No. 4 running back behind Jordan Howard, Tarik Cohen, and Benny Cunningham, so he will need to show special teams value over the next few weeks.

After further testing, Redskins wideout Robert Davis will miss the 2018 season with a broken leg and torn LCL, according to Ian Rapoport.
Earlier, it was reported that the team feared a torn ACL for Davis, so this might actually be better news. The second-year receiver will still undergo surgery, but hopefully he is 100% well before training camp next year. The Redskins will have a few options looking to step up behind Jamison Crowder, Paul Richardson, and Josh Doctson for the rest of the month.

Initial tests have revealed a torn ACL for Robert Davis, according to Mike Garafolo.
Washington has been hit with injuries harder than anyone this week, and it continues with their 2017 sixth-round receiver likely set to miss the entire season. Garafolo says that Davis could have been a contributor this year for Washington, but now he will hope to get healthy and make the team in 2019. This injury could open the door for seventh-rounder Trey Quinn or undrafted rookie Simmie Cobbs Jr. to make an impact.

John Brown “continues to be the best wide receiver in Ravens training camp,” according to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley.
A couple of weeks ago, Garrett Downing of the team’s official site said that Brown was off to a great start in camp, and that’s apparently continued. There has been talk of Michael Crabtree’s connection with Joe Flacco, too, though. However, the big takeaway is that Brown has remained healthy, which was his issue with the Cardinals. He offers 1,000-yard upside toward the end of fantasy drafts.

Ray-Ray McCloud is getting some first-team reps on offense.
Bills head coach Sean McDermott said the team weighs game performance over practice, and the sixth-round rookie from Clemson had a very good showing in the opening preseason game on Thursday night against the Panthers. McCloud caught a touchdown from Josh Allen at the end of the game, catching three passes for 50 yards in total. McCloud isn’t yet on the fantasy radar for standard-sized leagues, but he’s someone to keep in mind. He has the ability to make a year-one impact.

Josh Reynolds is undergoing testing for an ankle injury.
Reynolds suffered the injury in last night’s preseason game against the Ravens. The second-year receiver from Texas A&M has one reception for six yards last night, and hopefully the injury isn’t too serious so he can get back on the field as he looks to take the No. 4 receiver role for the Rams.
