Join now >There is an arrest warrant out for Robby Anderson, according to Andy Slater.
Anderson was arrested back in January and initially had felony charges against him, but the charges were dismissed and changed to misdemeanor reckless driving. However, he apparently did not show up to court today, which is just another bad sign for a young receiver that’s been in trouble too much. Anderson also has an upcoming August trial for his Miami arrest from last year. We’ll see what comes of this, but it wouldn’t be surprising if the Jets simply have enough with Anderson at some point.

The Eagles have signed wide receiver Markus Wheaton.
Wheaton has battled injuries over the last two seasons with the Steelers and Bears, but he had back-to-back seasons with 44+ receptions and 644+ yards back in 2014-2015 with Pittsburgh. The former third-round pick is still only 27 years old, and he adds great depth to Philadelphia’s receiving corps. Wheaton will attempt to beat out Mike Wallace and Mack Hollins for a big role behind Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor, and he should not be discounted. However, Wheaton might not be better than the fifth option at receiver for the Eagles, and he is off the fantasy radar for now.

The Ravens did not exercise Bresahad Perriman’s fifth-year option.
Perriman has battled injuries and hasn’t been able to make a huge impact after the Ravens selected in the first round in 2015. Baltimore revamped their receiving corps by adding Michael Crabtree, John Brown, and Willie Snead this offseason, so Perriman is in an uphill battle for playing time. The lightning fast receiver will turn 25 this September, and he’ll look to make some big plays before he hits free agency after the season.

The Patriots did not pick up the fifth-year option for Phillip Dorsett.
New England acquired Dorsett in the Jacoby Brissett trade last season, and the former first-round pick made plays when his number was called, but it was not expected that the Pats would pick up his option. The Patriots have a very deep receiving group, and Dorsett will be competing for a role in it ahead of free agency in 2019.

The Eagles are expected to sign quarterback Joe Callahan, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
Callahan has spent the last two seasons in Green Bay, but he was waived on Monday. This is pretty cool, as the former Division III star is from Absecon, New Jersey, so he probably grew up rooting for the Eagles. With Carson Wentz’s status uncertain as he recovers from his knee injury, Callahan could get a nice opportunity to show what he can do this preseason.

Marcus Mariota is trying to widen his throwing base.
Now healthy as opposed to last year when he was recovery from leg surgery, Mariota is using the offseason to make some adjustments to his game. Mariota said he wanted to get a wider base because he was getting too narrow at times, and he said the new coaching staff said the same thing. Dating back to his time at Oregon, Mariota basically had the same base when throwing, as he could just stand there and throw darts all over the field. But it’s good to see him doing what he can to improve his game, which is exactly what you would expect from Mariota. Unfortunately, Mariota is now on his fourth offensive coordinator (Matt LaFleur) in four seasons, but hopefully things click quickly and he can have his biggest season yet in 2018. With a full offseason this year, Mariota has major bounce-back upside after he took a step back statistically last season.

The Bears are not picking up Kevin White’s fifth-year option.
Unfortunately, White has been unable to stay healthy during the first three years of his career, missing 43 of 48 possible games for Chicago. Considering the option for 2019 was worth $13.9 million, which would be fully guaranteed for injury, this was fully expected. So now the former seventh pick in the draft is entering a contract year, and he’ll look to stay healthy and show what he can do in Matt Nagy’s offense. It would be a great story if White was able to stay healthy and contribute after what must have been a very difficult three years to start his career.
