Join now >The Browns are trading tight end Randall Telfer to the Chiefs, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.
A former sixth-round pick out of USC, Telfer caught three passes for 36 yards last season. He will look to earn a roster spot on a suddenly crowded depth chart behind Travis Kelce in Kansas City, but it should be a wipe-open competition for roster spots. Telfer turns 26 in exactly two weeks.

The Chargers exercised the fifth-year option for Melvin Gordon.
The team already said the plan was to pick up Gordon’s option, but now it’s official. Gordon has been one of the league’s best running backs over the last two seasons, scoring 24 total touchdowns (12 each season). Also, Gordon hasn’t been 100% healthy for parts of his first three seasons, but he’s toughed it out and remained on the field when possible. The Chargers now have Gordon under team control for the next two seasons, but they might negotiate a contract extension next year. Gordon will remain a very good RB1 this season, and he has the upside to vault into the top-tier of fantasy scorers with a healthy and improved offensive line in front of him.

The Bengals have added German wide receiver Moritz Boehringer to their roster.
Boehringer was drafted by the Vikings in the sixth round in 2016, and he spent that season on the practice squad. Last season, he was waived after he didn’t make the 53-man roster. Now, he’s getting another shot on a practice squad as a part of the International Player Pathway program, which gives AFC North teams the chance to put an international player on their practice squad in 2018. Boehringer is only 24, and he has a ton of size and athletic ability, but he’s not really on the fantasy radar quite yet.

J.T. Barrett’s deal with the Saints is for three years, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
It’s been known since yesterday that the Ohio State great would be signing with New Orleans, but the fact that it’s a three-year deal is very good for Barrett. The deal does not mean Barrett will stick around with the Saints even into this season, but it shows the Saints think highly of his potential. The Saints really like quarterback Taysom Hill, and FOX broadcasters Troy Aikman and Joe Buck talked during the 2017 season about how Saints head coach Sean Payton thinks he can be their quarterback of the future, but perhaps Barrett will get a shot down the line. In very deep dynasty leagues, Barrett might be worth a pick up.

The Colts have waived running back Matt Jones.
After getting released by the Redskins ahead of last season, Jones spent 2017 on and off the Colts roster. He received only five carries for 14 yards during the season. The former third-round pick is still only 25, and he’ll draw interest from other teams. Ideally, he’ll look for an opportunity where he’ll have a chance to compete for playing time in training camp, as he’s been buried on the depth chart in Washington and Indianapolis. Jones is a big back with ability, but he’s not on the fantasy radar right now.

Hunter Henry says he’s “ready to step up” this season.
The Chargers recently announced that franchise great Antonio Gates would not be returning to the team in 2018 as they head in a new direction, making Henry the Chargers’ clear number one option at tight end. According to the Los Angeles Times, Henry said he’s “ready to step up. … I’m ready to go.” After tying for the league-lead in scores for a tight end as a rookie in 2016, with eight, Henry was a bigger part of the offense last season but had only four touchdowns. Now, he’ll be Philip Rivers’ clear top tight end, which could lead to huge numbers moving forward. There might be concerns about Henry’s fantasy value—like the presence of two stars in Keenan Allen and Melvin Gordon, both of whom are good in scoring territory; along with last year’s first-round pick Mike Williams potentially emerging as a big option in the red-zone—but overall Henry has a ton of upside in the middle of fantasy drafts this summer.

The Eagles have exercised their fifth-year option for Nelson Agholor.
He dealt with some confidence issues early in his career, but the 2015 first-round pick is quickly turning into one of the league’s best receivers. Agholor was a huge part of the Eagles’ Super Bowl run last year, and he came up with a bunch of clutch plays during the Big Game. It was fully expected that the Eagles would exercise Agholor’s option, which keeps him under team control through the 2019 season. Agholor should have an even bigger role moving forward, and he has a chance to hit 1,000 yards for the first time this season.
