Join now >The Patriots have selected Florida State tight end Ryan Izzo with the 250th pick (seventh round) in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Izzo didn’t put up big numbers in college, but he also played basketball in high school and has that background as a big pass-catcher. He was a junior that decided to come out of school and join the NFL, and New England is a good spot for him. Izzo’s ability as run blocker will help him as he attempts to make the roster as a rookie.

The Ravens have selected New Mexico State wife received Jaleel Scott with the 132nd pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Baltimore continues to revamp its receiving corps this offseason, this time adding the huge 6’5” Scott, who is a height-weight-speed guy that had over 1,000 yards and nine touchdowns at New Mexico State last season. Scott will look to develop into a solid option on the outside for the Ravens, and he could have an immediate red-zone role as a rookie.

The Cowboys have selected Alabama running back Bo Scarbrough with the 236th pick (seventh round) of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Scarbrough is a fast, powerful runner with great size, but he didn’t turn into the player many expected when he arrived at Alabama, and that could be due to a lack of vision and patience. Fortunately for him, he will have plenty of holes to run through with the Cowboys offense line leading the way, and Scarbrough has a chance to earn the backup job to Ezekiel Elliott as soon as this season. That said, he will be nothing more than a late-round handcuff that probably won’t see the field much with Zeke healthy. And contrary to what some believe, he (meaning Scarbrough) is not close to the runner Derrick Henry is.

Greg Olsen is signing a two-year contract extension, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Schefter says it’s worth $8.55 million per year, with the potential for it to reach up to $10.05 million per year. Olsen made it clear he wanted a new contract before last season, but he decided not to hold out. Now, even after missing nine games last season because of a broken foot, the Panthers are rewarding their star tight end for his production over the years. The 33-year-old Olsen should be fully healthy entering 2018, and he’ll look to get back to elite production after an injury-plagued season. Remember, Olsen was the only tight end in NFL history to have 1,000 receiving yards in three straight seasons, which he did from 2014-2016.

The Dolphins have selected Arizona State running back Kalen Ballage with the 131st pick (fourth round) in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Miami continues to add pieces for Adam Gase’s offense. Ballage has a ton of juice for a 230-pound back, and he could really be a force if he plays with more power at the next level. He is a bit like former Eagles running back Correll Buckhater as a big back that can catch the ball and do damage in space. Even with Kenyan Drake and Frank Gore in the backfield, a rookie impact shouldn’t be discounted. Ballage is a high-upside pick in dynasty leagues.

The Ravens have selected Oklahoma tight end Mark Andrews with the No. 86 pick (third round) in the 2018 NFL Draft.
This is a bit of a surprise after the Ravens drafted fellow tight end Hayden Hurst in the first round last night, but Baltimore is probably trying to totally revamp their tight end group. Andrews was one of No. 1 overall pick Baker Mayfield’s favorite targets in college and caught 62 passes for 958 yards and eight touchdowns. Andrews had at least seven touchdowns in each of his three seasons at Oklahoma (22 total), so he knows how to score. He will likely compete with Hurst for the starting tight end job in Baltimore, but we would anticipate them both having a role on offense as rookies.

The Jaguars have selected LSU wide receiver D.J. Chark with the No. 61 pick (second round) in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Considered a “late-riser” in the draft process, D.J. Chark performed very well during the Senior Bowl and basically lit up his pre-draft workouts. He didn’t have a ton of production in college, but he has ability as a deep threat and could immediately stretch the field in the NFL. However, Jacksonville might have the deepest receiving corps in the league, so Chark might not have a big enough role as rookie to make a fantasy impact. He’s more of a dynasty-league option at this point, but he is someone to keep an eye on throughout the summer.
