Join now >The Redskins have traded for quarterback Kevin Hogan.
Cleveland is sending over a sixth-round selection (No. 205 overall) and Hogan to Washington in exchange for a sixth-round selection (No. 188 overall). Hogan requested a trade yesterday, and his wish was granted as he lands in an excellent spot with Jay Gruden and the Redskins. The former Stanford quarterback might push Colt McCoy for the backup role behind Alex Smith, though McCoy is a favorite of Gruden’s. Hogan went to high school in Washington, D.C., so it’s pretty cool for him to return home in the next step of his NFL career.

Chris Ivory is visiting the Browns today, according to Ian Rapoport.
Ivory, who is free to sign at anytime after begin cut by Jacksonville last week, visited the Bills yesterday and reportedly has a visit with another team tomorrow. Isaiah Crowell will hit free agency, so the Browns could sign Ivory to fill the potential void. Cleveland is also expected to be a real contender to draft former Penn State running back Saquon Barkley, who is considered by many to be the top player available, in the draft with the first or fourth overall pick.

Restricted free agent Cameron Meredith has signed an offer sheet with the Saints, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Meredith is recovering from a bad ACL tear, but New Orleans is clearly comfortable with his health, as they are reportedly offering a two-year deal for nearly $10 million to the 25-year-old. Now, Chicago has to either match the contract or allow Meredith to sign with the Saints. This could get interesting, as the Bears have already shelled out money to Allen Robinson and Taylor Gabriel this offseason, but Meredith showed enough promise that they might keep him around.

John Brown is set to become a free agent this offseason.
Brown just sent out a tweet that asked his fans “What team you think will b a good fit for me??? I wanna hear”. It doesn’t sound like “Smokey” Brown has much interest in re-signing in Arizona, where he spent his first four NFL season, racking up 173 receptions for 2,515 yards, and 17 touchdowns despite dealing with sickle cell trait complications and soft-muscle injuries that hurt his production. Brown has shown he has the ability to be a very good contributor in a receiving corps, and he could end up being a steal in free agency.

The Patriots are signing wide receiver Jordan Matthews, according to Adam Schefter.
Schefter says it’s a one-year deal for the former Eagles and Bills receiver. Prior to his injury plagued 2017 with Buffalo, Matthews had over 800 yards in each of his first three NFL seasons in Philadelphia—including eight touchdowns in each of his first two seasons. Matthews had three surgeries during the 2017 season—including two in December—but hopefully now he’ll be fully healthy. Matthews is joining one of the league’s best offenses and will have an opportunity to carve out a sizable role behind Julian Edelman and Chris Hogan as New England’s third receiver. The extremely deep receiving corps of the Patriots will be one of the position groups to watch most closely this summer, as Kenny Britt, Malcolm Mitchell, Phillip Dorsett, and Cordarrelle Patterson are also all among those in the mix.

Dion Lewis wants to make sure that he’s “valued” in free agency.
Lewis spoke on “The Adam Schefter Podcast”, and he talked about how he didn’t really play his first three years in the NFL and feels great, stating: “I don’t feel 27. I feel 22, 23. I just tell teams that I’m fresh.” The elusive running back acknowledged that he knows the NFL is a business and he’s not “putting all [his] eggs in one basket” regarding a return to New England. It’ll be interesting to see what type of interest Lewis gets in free agency, but a return to the Patriots should not be counted out considering the success they’ve had together over the last few years.

The Vikings signed wide receiver Tavarres King.
King spent the last two seasons with the Giants, and he played well when given opportunities last season—including a two-touchdown performance against the Eagles in Week 15. The 28-year-old receiver gives Minnesota more depth to one of the league’s most talented rosters, but he probably won’t make a big fantasy impact in 2018.
