Join now >Blake Bortles, Jags fall short in AFC Championship.
Bortles was 23/36 for 293 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions in the 24-20 loss. Jacksonville was up 20-10 in the fourth quarter, but Tom Brady did his thing from there with two touchdowns to Danny Amendola. The final offensive play for the Jaguars was a fourth down pass to Dede Westbrook that was on the money, but cornerback Stephon Gilmore made an exceptional play to break it up. Overall, it was a quality performance by Bortles, and there’s a good chance he’s the team’s starter again in 2018. However, they will obviously look at all options at the position, and the former third-overall pick wouldn’t be a recommended fantasy option on what should again be a low-volume passing attack.

The Jaguars officially signed wide Donte Moncrief.
One of the more surprising agreements during the legal tampering period has become official, and Moncrief will now look to carve out a nice role with the Jaguars. Considering he’s likely to be the biggest wide receiver in the Jags receiving corps this season and has good jump-ball ability, Moncrief should deliver scoring upside in the red zone. He’ll be a late-round flier in 2018 fantasy drafts.

Chris Hogan catches two passes as Patriots advance to Super Bowl LII.
Hogan was stuck on the right side of the formation matched up with Jalen Ramsey for much of the day, catching two passes for 20 yards. It appeared Hogan was clearly interfered with early in the game on a pass over the middle, but it wasn’t called. Hogan will now be playing in the Super Bowl for the second straight season as New England faces the Eagles or Vikings in a couple of weeks.

Danny Amendola officially signed with the Dolphins.
The legal tampering period didn’t stop Amendola from actually leaving the team he won two Super Bowls with in New England. In 13 playoff games with the Pats, Amendola had 57 receptiosn for 709 yards and six touchdowns—including a touchdown in each of New England’s last two Super Bowl victories (and a key two-point conversion in last year’s epic comeback agains the Falcons) and a 152-yard performance in their Super Bowl LII loss. He’ll always be remembered in New England for his clutch postseason moments. Because the Dolphins are also signing former Chiefs receiver Albert Wilson, it appears Amendola is likely to be limited for much of the season in an effort to help him remain healthy for a potential playoff run. He should have some good weeks, but Amendola might not be a recommended fantasy option for 2018.

Phillip Dorsett makes big catch in the AFC Championship Game.
Dorsett is the fourth wide receiver for the Patriots and didn’t get much time in the game, but he took advantage with a huge 31-yard reception on a flea-flicker late in the game. It was Dorsett’s only reception of the game, but it was an excellent catch where he went up in tight coverage. Guys making plays like that when their number is called is really great to see, and Dorsett will now get to play in the Super Bowl in a couple of weeks.

Paul Richardson has officially signed with the Redskins.
Richardson will step right in as a deep threat and top-three receiver along with Josh Doctson and Jamison Crowder in Washington. Alex Smith has an extremely underrated deep ball that he showed off more than ever in 2017, so it’ll be interesting to see the type of connection he has with each of his receivers. Richardson will be a target at the end of fantasy drafts for now, but we’ll see what happens throughout offseason training and the preseason.

Brandin Cooks hits 100 yards in playoff win against Jacksonville.
Cooks had a huge part in getting the Patriots back to the Super Bowl, getting open with ease on the left side of the formation for New England all game. The speedy receiver had six receptions for 100 yards in the AFC Championship win. Cooks did have a bad drop on a perfect deep pass on what would’ve likely been a long touchdown, but his team still overcame their deficit to advance to Super Bowl LII. The fourth-year receiver will get a taste of the Big Game in his first season with the Patriots.
