Join now >The Raiders are attempting to finalize a deal with former Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson, according to ESPN.
According to Adam Schefter, a team source said the deal is “going to get done.” It’s clear Jon Gruden isn’t going to waste any time trying to win a Super Bowl in his second stint on the sidelines, and he likely knows Nelson has long been one of the most underrated players in the NFL and a proven clutch performer. While Amari Cooper will be the focus of the passing attack, Jordy should be a big factor and the main red-zone threat for Derek Carr—who is one of the best back-shoulder passers in the NFL. If this deal does indeed happen, Michael Crabtree is expected to be released by the Raiders.

James White scores as Patriots advance to Super Bowl LII.
Dion Lewis handled most of the work in the backfield for the Patriots, but White was as reliable as always when he was in the game. White carried three times for four rushing yards and a rushing touchdown while adding three receptions for 22 receiving yards. The score came on a carry at the goal line as the Patriots had the Jaguars on their heels. After he was a hero in Super Bowl LI, White will look to have a big impact in Super Bowl LII as New England looks to go back-to-back.

The Browns have released wide receiver Sammie Coates.
Coates was acquired from the Steelers ahead of last season, and he caught only six passes for 70 yards in 12 games played. The 2015 third-round selection should get a good amount of interest as a free agent, as he has potential as a big deep threat. Given his injury history, look for Coates to sign a short-term deal with lower guarantees.

Rex Burkhead gets one touch in AFC Championship win.
Burkhead made his return after missing the last three games for New England, but he didn’t get much action, carrying once for five yards. The carry was on a nicely-designed reverse, and Burkhead also contributed on special teams as usual. He did have a brace on his knee, so Burkhead might not be quite at 100%. Burkhead will have a couple weeks to get healthier and potentially get a bigger offensive role in the Super Bowl.

The Bears have officially signed wide receiver Allen Robinson.
A-Rob posted a picture of himself in a Chicago Bulls jersey, so he’s ready to go and this becoming official was just a matter of him signing on the dotted line. People might have forgotten a bit after he suffered a torn ACL in Week 1 of 2017 and had a subpar 2016 season, but Robinson is a former 1,400-yard, 14-touchdown receiver that has a ton of ability on the outside. His presence should elevate second-year quarterback Mitchell Trubisky and the entire offense, and he should help lighten the box for running back Jordan Howard. Robinson is likely to be drafted as a WR2 in fantasy drafts later this summer, but he has top-five upside even coming off a torn ACL.

Dion Lewis gets 16 touches in the AFC Championship.
Lewis carried nine times for 34 rushing yards and added seven receptions for 32 receiving yards, as New England went with a pass-heavy approach versus the Jaguars. Lewis did have a lost fumble that basically wiped out a great trick play by the Patriots when they did a double-pass from Brady to Amendola to Lewis, but the Patriots still came back in the end anyway. He probably won’t be in the dog house for Super Bowl LI, but perhaps the steady James White will cut into the workload a little more on quick screens and designed passes to the backs.

The Bears have officially signed Chase Daniel.
Daniel has familiarity with Matt Nagy’s offense from his time in Kansas City, so he’ll help Mitchell Trubisky learn the offense the same way he helped Carson Wentz learn Doug Pederon’s offense in Philadelphia a couple years ago. Trubisky is the person this move should benefit the most, but Daniel also provides a steady hand off the bench if he’s called into action.
