Minnesota started the game with lockdown defense and didn’t allow the Saints to do much of anything in the first half, shutting them out. However, Brees caught fire late in the game after the Saints defense made some plays for him, and he was basically perfect in the second half. Overall, Brees was 25/40 for 294 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. The first interception was on an underthrown deep ball to Ted Ginn Jr. early in the game, and the second was on a tipped pass deep in Minnesota territory. Brees led New Orleans for a go-ahead field goal on a clutch drive late in the fourth quarter, but Case Keenum connected with Stefon Diggs on a wild 61-yard touchdown with no time remaining to win the game for the Vikings. Brees is set to be a free agent this offseason, but it’d be surprising if the Saints let him walk in free agency.

Taywan Taylor catches one pass in playoff loss.
The rookie receiver gained five yards on his lone reception, catching a zig type of route that was stopped short of a first down. Entering his second year, Taylor, who was the 72nd pick in the draft, could have a much bigger role than he did this season. For now, he doesn’t look like a recommended fantasy selection in 2018 fantasy drafts, though.

The Packers are expected to sign Jimmy Graham to a three-year deal, according to multiple reports.
ESPN was the first to report the news, with NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport echoing the report shortly after. Green Bay said they would become more aggressive in free agency this year, and they sure are off and running by signing the former Saints and Seahawks tight end. Graham is 31 years old, but he was an exception red zone weapon for Russell Wilson and the Seahawks last year, scoring ten touchdowns as a nearly uncoverable force deep in scoring territory. After Martellus Bennett was a flop in free agency last year, Aaron Rodgers and company must be thrilled to add the big 6’7″ Graham to the offense. The deal cannot become official until tomorrow at 4:00 PM ET, but Graham is likely to become a Packer.

The Titans will release quarterback Matt Cassel.
Cassel has been Marcus Mariota’s backup for each of the past two seasons, but new head coach Mike Vrabel probably wants to get his own guy in the quarterback room or stick with Brandon Weeden behind Mariota. Turning 36 in a couple months, Cassel should be able to land with another team as a veteran presence if he chooses to continue his career.

Ben Roethlisberger says he plans to play next season.
The potential drama has seemingly ended quickly, as Roethlisberger likely still feels he can play at a very high level after he did from the middle-end of the season. Also, according to Aditi Kinkhabwala, Roethlisberger told a disappointed Antonio Brown in the locker room that “we’ll get there,” which obviously indicates he plans on staying around to help AB and the younger guys try to get a Super Bowl. This should be the end of it, and Roethlisberger will enter next season as a QB1 option considering how well he played down the stretch at 35 years old.

Jacob Hollister catches one pass in playoff win.
It came in the fourth quarter and went for no gain. Hollister’s impact will mostly come on special teams in the AFC Championship next week.

Marqise Lee is re-signing with the Jaguars, according to NFL Network.
Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network both tweeted the news simultaneously, and this is a signing that can become official today since Lee is currently under contract with the Jaguars. Though they weren’t able to keep Allen Robinson around, the Jaguars were able to retain fellow 2014 second-rounder Lee (Robinson and Lee were both drafted in the second round by Jacksonville in 2014) to keep the group that got to the AFC Championship Game last year together. Lee should be a reliable target for Blake Bortles once again in 2018, and he could push for his first 1,000-yard season if he stays healthy.
