Join now >The Bills have signed Josh Allen to a contract extension through 2028.
ESPN’s Chris Mortensen broke the news, and Adam Schefter says it is a $258-million deal with $150 million guaranteed for one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks and players. It seemed as if Allen was very confident in playing the season without coming to an agreement, but Buffalo likely realized the price would be astronomical in 2022 if Allen plays like he did last year. Overall, the Bills have all the pieces in place to remain a powerhouse in the AFC for the next several seasons, and Allen has clearly proven himself as a Super Bowl-caliber quarterback after totaling 45 touchdowns in 2020. Still just entering his age-25 campaign, Allen will almost certainly cash in again by 2028.

James Washington has requested a trade, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Washington’s request comes due to a lack of playing time, and it seems very reasonable based on his talent level with Pittsburgh clearly having JuJu Smith-Schuster, Diontae Johnson, and Chase Claypool as their starting trio. Last night, the former Oklahoma State standout remained on the field with backups after Johnson and Claypool both were done for the night (JuJu didn’t suit up), so he’s probably a bit upset about that, too. There are several receiver-needy teams around the league, and Washington could have his value shoot up depending on the landing spot if he’s indeed traded. It will be interesting to see if Ben Roethlisberger somehow gets involved knowing how much he has trusted Washington to make a big play in the past.

The Titans officially released DeShone Kizer.
As was reported, Kizer is being released to make room for new backup Matt Barkley. The former second-round pick of the Browns will look to land with a new squad during camp, hopefully with a shot for a good amount of playing time this preseason.

The Titans signed Matt Barkley.
Somewhat quietly, Barkley has become one of the best and most well-respected backup quarterbacks in the league during his time with Buffalo, but the Bills added former second overall pick Mitchell Trubisky this offseason. Barkley lands in a good spot with a playoff team, and he’ll be a good asset for Ryan Tannehill and the offense to lean on some in 2021.

Multiple reports: Kenny Golladay expected to miss at least a couple of weeks with hamstring injury.
Golladay left practice grabbing his leg a few days ago, and now we have somewhat of a timeline to go off of. Ideally, Golladay will be able to return for the Giants’ third preseason game, but that might be a stretch with an eye toward Week 1. Golladay’s ADP is almost certain to drop after this news, as he’s on a new team and dealt with lingering injury issues last year with the Lions.

The Falcons signed Trevor Davis.
Davis will bring more speed to Atlanta as a potential deep threat and returner, but he’s off the redraft radar for now. Davis is going to be battling for a roster spot ahead of the season.

The Panthers are signing Rod Smith.
The veteran provides versatility at fullback, and he will compete for a roster spot for Carolina this summer.
