Join now >Marquise Brown is dealing with a hamstring issue.
Brown has missed a few practices with the hamstring issue, and now Ravens head coach John Harbaugh says the injury appears more serious than they first thought. Hopefully Brown is able to return to the field soon, but he can probably be considered week-to-week for now.

DeVante Parker is officially off the PUP list.
As was hoped, it was indeed a short stay for Parker on the PUP to begin camp. The big-bodied receiver is currently practicing for the Dolphins, and he’ll look to build more chemistry with second-year quarterback Tua Tagovailoa this summer.

DeVonta Smith (knee) is week-to-week.
Smith was by all accounts off to a great start to his first NFL training camp, but this puts a halt to that. It’s a knee sprain for the Heisman Trophy winner, but hopefully it’s not something that puts Week 1 in jeopardy. Ideally, we’ll be able to see Smith on the field for the Eagles’ third preseason game in a few weeks.

Carson Wentz is not getting foot surgery yet.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport says Wentz “plans to try to rest and rehab his foot injury over the next few days… rather than have immediate surgery.” So, we’re now in a waiting game with the hope of Wentz being able to heal up in time for Week 1. If he needs surgery, Wentz will almost certainly miss at least several weeks of the season. For now, consider Wentz out indefinitely with no clear timeline for a return. If Wentz does not need surgery, he can probably be considered questionable for Week 1.

Olabisi Johnson suffered a torn ACL.
This is tough news for Johnson, who was looking to win the No. 3 receiver role for the Vikings this season. Johnson has probably worked his way onto being squarely and safely on the roster after getting drafted in the seventh round a couple of years ago, but he’ll now face a lengthy rehab. The good news is that Johnson should be 100% for the start of camp next summer.

The Browns are signing Nick Chubb to a three-year, $36.6 million extension.
Chubb is reportedly getting $20 million guaranteed in the deal for one of the league’s best overall players. The short-term extension will also allow the elite runner to get another contract and cash in for a second time before he hits 30 years old. Through three seasons, Chubb has averaged 5.2 yards per carry with 3,557 rushing yards and 28 rushing touchdowns. He’ll remain a focal point of the Browns offense for the next few seasons and should continue to deliver high-end RB1 value in fantasy leagues.

The Saints have signed Devonta Freeman.
Freeman is heading to a former division rival, and he should have a decent chance to make the team behind Alvin Kamara and Latavius Murray—especially with Ty Montgomery apparently getting more work at wide receiver. A meaningful amount of snaps (likely via injury) behind one of the game’s best offensive lines would put Freeman right back in play as a fantasy option in his age-29 campaign.
