Join now >The Colts have signed Brett Hundley.
Hundley will slide into the quarterback room with Carson Wentz (foot) out indefinitely, and the former UCLA standout will hope to show well over the next few weeks as the team searches for a short-term answer. The 28-year-old has attempted just 11 passes since starting nine games for the Packers in 2017.

The Titans signed Luke Stocker.
The veteran tight end will fill a depth role this summer and will look to make the final roster for the Titans, but he’s off the fantasy radar for now. Anthony Firkser is fully expected to lead Tennessee’s tight ends in 2021. Stocker also spent 2017 and 2018 with the Titans.

The 49ers are signing Jordan Matthews.
Matthews bulked up and made the transition to tight end this offseason, and the Niners are giving him a shot as he looks to make the roster at his new position. Matthews has familiarity with San Francisco—having been with the team on multiple occasions—so that should help as he looks to make a successful comeback and transition. The former second-round pick is someone to keep an eye on in dynasty leagues.

Jarrett Stidham underwent back surgery on Wednesday, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The surgery is said to not be season-ending, and Stidham may be ready to return by October. New England will move forward with Cam Newton, Mac Jones, and Brian Hoyer as their quarterback room this summer and into September, but hopefully Stidham is able to get fully healthy.

Kenyan Drake has returned to practice.
Drake started camp on the non-football injury list, but he’s now on the field after just a couple of days. Look for the former Alabama standout to get the ball in a variety of ways alongside Josh Jacobs in the backfield.

Theo Riddick has retired from the NFL.
Riddick—who turned 30 in the spring—is hanging up his cleats after playing six seasons with Detroit and one with Las Vegas. The former Notre Dame standout had an 80-reception season back in 2015, but his contributions have decreased every year since then, and he’ll now enjoy life after football. Overall, Riddick ends his career with 294 carries, 1,037 rushing yards, five rushing touchdowns, 290 receptions, 2,281 receiving yards, and 14 receiving touchdowns.

Carson Wentz (foot) is out indefinitely, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Wentz was injured at the end of Thursday’s practice, and it’s obviously not a good sign that he needs to undergo further testing—sounding like a potentially serious issue. Any sort of extended absence would hurt Indy’s chances of competing in the AFC, and the implications also extend to Philadelphia where they are hoping their former franchise quarterback plays enough snaps for the 2022 second-round pick owed to them turns into a first-round selection. For however long Wentz is out, second-year passer Jacob Eason will work as the starter, but don’t be surprised if the Colts bring in a veteran that they might feel gives them a better shot this season.
