WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Brett Hundley | Ravens QB

The Colts released Brett Hundley.

Hundley appeared to have a good stretch in practice after joining the Colts earlier this season, but the team is now going in another direction. The UCLA product shouldn't have much trouble landing with another squad soon.

Brett Hundley | Ravens QB

The Colts have signed Brett Hundley.

Hundley will slide into the quarterback room with Carson Wentz (foot) out indefinitely, and the former UCLA standout will hope to show well over the next few weeks as the team searches for a short-term answer. The 28-year-old has attempted just 11 passes since starting nine games for the Packers in 2017.

Brett Hundley is re-signing with the Cardinals.

The former UCLA star is the perfect backup for Kyler Murray, so this is a good move for both him and Arizona. Last year's No. 1 overall pick has a great feel for protecting himself, but especially after the team added DeAndre Hopkins to the offense, Hundley would be an immediate streaming option if he were to ever see the field.

The Cardinals are expected to sign Brett Hundley, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

This cannot become official until tomorrow, but Arizona will have a new backup quarterback under new head coach Kliff Kingsbury. Hundley got some good playing experience for an injured Aaron Rodgers in 2017 before backing up Russell Wilson last season. The 2015 fifth-round pick is one of the best backup quarterbacks in football, and now the big question is whether he'll be backing up incumbent starter Josh Rosen or Heisman Trophy winner and potential No. 1 pick Kyler Murray.

Brett Hundley | Ravens QB

The Packers are trading Brett Hundley to the Seahawks, according to ESPN.

ESPN's Adam Schefter and Rob Demovsky say the Seahawks are sending a 2019 draft pick to Green Bay for Hundley. The 2015 fifth-round pick is almost certain to become Seattle's backup quarterback—perhaps right when he gets the offense down. Meanwhile, the Packers will go with second-year second-round pick DeShone Kizer behind Aaron Rodgers moving forward. For those that just look at the numbers, they might not think this is a great move for Seattle; however, we believe Hundley has a lot of talent and ability, and he should be an excellent backup for Russell Wilson.

Brett Hundley | Ravens QB

Brett Hundley throws two interceptions in Week 17.

Hundley was 14/24 for 172 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions along with three carries for 15 yards on the ground and a ten-yard reception from Randall Cobb. While attempting the tough task of filling in for Aaron Rodgers, Hundley threw for 1,836 passing yards, nine touchdowns, and 12 interceptions with a 60.8% completion percentage along with 36 carries for 270 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns in 11 games (9 starts). The stats don't look great, but he played better than they indicate. Hundley is likely to remain Green Bay's backup in 2018.

Packers offense gets shutout against the Vikings.

Brett Hundley and the offense struggled to get much going against Minnesota's elite defense, and it didn't reflect well in the box score. Hundley was 17/40 for 130 yards and two interceptions along with five carries for 48 yards. He did make some nice plays with his legs, and the box score is not a reflection on Hundley's play. There were at least four drops by Packer receivers, and based off the first viewing, there didn't appear to be many plays to be made against the Vikings. Hundley isn't a recommended fantasy option in Week 17 against the Lions, but he'll get another game of experience heading into the offseason.

Brett Hundley | Ravens QB

Brett Hundley tosses three touchdowns in Packers' win over the Browns.

Down 21-7, Hundley led Green Bay to a 14-point fourth quarter and eventual game-winning touchdown in overtime to get the Packers to 7-6 with a very real chance at the playoffs. Overall, Hundley was 35/46 for 265 yards and three touchdowns in the game, along with seven carries for 31 rushing yards, as he flashed the ability that makes the Packers confident with him as their backup quarterback. The first touchdown was a 30-yarder to a wide-open Jamaal Williams. The second was to Davante Adams on a back-shoulder type of fade. And the third was the game-winner in overtime to Adams on a quick screen that Adams took 25 yards to the house. The hope is that Aaron Rodgers will be back next week for Green Bay, but Hundley did an admirable job with six touchdowns and one interception over his last three games.

Brett Hundley | Ravens QB

Brett Hundley makes plays with his legs in Packers' overtime win.

Hundley couldn't get much going through the air, but he made a lot of plays with his legs to help Green Bay pickup an overtime win against Tampa Bay. Hundley was 13/22 for 84 yards and an interception while adding seven carries for 66 yards. While it wasn't the prettiest performance through the air, Hundley got the job done, as the Packers are 6-6 and inching closer to a potential Aaron Rodgers return. Hundley is a risky fantasy option against the Browns next week, but there is some upside there.

Brett Hundley | Ravens QB

Brett Hundley plays lights out and nearly leads Packers to upset win over the Steelers.

Hundley has struggled at times while filling in for Aaron Rodgers over the past five-plus games, but he had his best performance of the season against Pittsburgh. Hundley gave the Steelers all they could handle and played about as well as you can expect while filling in for Rodgers, going 17/26 for 245 yards and three touchdowns while adding a six-yard rush. The third-year quarterback did an excellent job of escaping pressure and making accurate throws throughout the night. The first touchdown was on a perfect throw on a wheel route to a wide-open Randall Cobb for 39 yards; the second was a 54-yard screen pass to Jamaal Williams; and the third was on a perfect deep ball to an open Davante Adams for 55 yards. Unfortunately, the Packers might have a difficult time making the playoffs after this loss, but they do have a couple of matchups with the Bucs and Browns coming up. Hundley will be an interesting streaming option in a good matchup with Tampa Bay for Week 13.

Brett Hundley | Ravens QB

Brett Hundley tosses three picks as Ravens shutout Packers.

Hundley was 21/36 for 239 yards and three interceptions. He also rushed three times for 19 yards and lost a fumble. Green Bay is now 5-5 heading into a road matchup with Pittsburgh on Sunday Night Football. Hundley isn't a recommended fantasy option as he tries to keep the Packer afloat.

Brett Hundley | Ravens QB

Brett Hundley picks up first career win as Packers top Bears.

Hundley was 18/25 for 212 yards, one touchdown, and zero turnovers. He also rushed twice for 16 yards. The third-year quarterback played his best game of the season on the road against an underrated Chicago defense, and it kept Green Bay tied with the Lions behind Minnesota in the NFC North. Hundley should keep getting better as he gains confidence, especially after an Aaron Rodgers-like deep ball to Davante Adams sealed the game against the Bears. That said, next Sunday won't be easy as they host Baltimore.

Brett Hundley | Ravens QB

Brett Hundley makes second start of the season as the Packers lose to the Lions.

Green Bay only scored three points until the fourth quarter, but Hundley played better than that would indicate. The Lions kept the ball for a lot of the game and didn't allow the Packers to have the ball throughout. Overall, Hundley was 26/38 for 245 passing yards and added four carries for 22 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown on a quarterback sneak. The Packers offense got going late in the game when Hundley was in a hurry-up offense, and he looked really comfortable in it—so that might be something they do more of moving forward.

Brett Hundley | Ravens QB

Brett Hundley struggles as a passer in first career start.

Hundley was 12/25 for 87 yards and one interception, though he did rush three times for 44 yards and a touchdown on the ground. The Packers were up 14-7 at the half, but the Saints outscored them 19-3 the rest of the way. Green Bay at least has the bye week to get Hundley more comfortable in the offense, and we think he should be a lot better against the Lions on Monday Night Football in the first week of November.

Brett Hundley | Ravens QB

Brett Hundley throws three interceptions in relief of Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) as Packers fall to Vikings.

Hundley was 18/33 for 157 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions. He was put in a tough spot on the road against one of the league's best defenses, as even Aaron Rodgers has struggled against Minnesota recently. Hundley might be the starter for the rest of the season, and he should be a lot better with a full week of practice to prepare from now on. Despite the biased sports media's expected clamoring for Colin Kaepernick, he is not an upgrade on Hundley, whom might be the best backup in the league and has spent two-plus years learning from Rodgers. Quarterback is pretty deep right now, but the former UCLA star is worth a look as a streamer when the matchup is right, including next week against the Saints.

Brett Hundley | Ravens QB

Brett Hundley was 20/30 for 186 yards on Saturday night.

He also rushed five times for 14 yards and a touchdown. Hundley quickly came in for Aaron Rodgers (who threw five passes), so he got a chance to face Denver's elite defense for an extended period of time. Green Bay has one of the better backups in the NFL, but they hope the preseason finale on Thursday night is the last they see of him in 2017.

Brett Hundley | Ravens QB

Brett Hundley was 9/10 for 107 yards and one touchdown in the Packers' second preseason game.

Hundley continues to impress, with the highlight of the night being a perfectly-thrown deep ball to Jeff Janis down the right sideline. Teams in need of a quarterback would be wise to give Green Bay a call, though they probably would want an early pick for their backup, especially since he is under contract for two more years.

Brett Hundley | Ravens QB

Brett Hundley plays well in preseason game against Philadelphia.

Hundley was 8/15 for 90 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. The interception came on a play where he just didn't see linebacker Mychal Kendricks—and Kendricks made a very nice play to pick the ball off. On the touchdown, he showed perfect touch on a 20-yard ball to the end zone. Hundley will be the backup to Aaron Rodgers this season.
