Join now >The Seahawks have placed D’Wayne Eskridge (foot) on the PUP list.
Eskridge will now miss valuable time if the absence extends too far into August, and it’s worth noting that young speed receivers have often struggled with injuries in recent years. Whenever he can get healthy, Eskridge will look to establish himself as a field-stretcher and underneath weapon alongside D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

The Giants are releasing Kelvin Benjamin.
Benjamin was looking to make the Giants roster after converting to tight end, but it’s not a great sign that he’s being let go at the start of camp. We’ll see if the former first-round pick gets another shot with a team soon, but he’s not a must-hold in dynasty leagues.

Zach Ertz is expected to be on the Eagles this season.
Eagles general manager Howie Roseman just confirmed that this is the case, which has been expected since Ertz reported for the start of camp after a trade did not come together this offseason. While Ertz was given permission to seek a trade, it didn’t happen, so now tunes have changed from the beginning of the offseason. However, another team could still decide to come through with an enticing offer to the Eagles this summer, so don’t completely discount a trade yet.

DeVante Parker has been placed on the PUP list.
There seems to have been quite a few notable names to land on the PUP list to begin camp, but hopefully Parker’s stay there is a short one. The crowded group behind Will Fuller and rookie Jaylen Waddle will get extended looks until the big-bodied wideout returns to the field.

Lamar Jackson is not practicing due to COVID-19 issues.
According to multiple reports, it’s not clear what’s going on with Jackson’s test (or reporters just don’t want to say that a former league MVP has tested positive for the virus again after he did so last November). But for now, he’s away from the Ravens, which is obviously not ideal as training camp gets underway. Hopefully Jackson is feeling OK and can rejoin his team soon.

The Bears signed Justin Hardy.
With Anthony Miller traded to Houston, Hardy will now compete for a role in the receiver room for the Bears. The East Carolina product did not play last season, but he spent his first five seasons with the Falcons after Atlanta took him in the fourth round of the 2015 draft.

Curtis Samuel has been placed on the PUP list.
Samuel is apparently dealing with a groin injury that also kept him out last month, so hopefully he’s able to get to 100% soon. Washington will get a closer look at rookie Dyami Brown and others across from Terry McLaurin for as long as Samuel is on the sideline.
