Join now >The Broncos are acquiring Teddy Bridgewater.
The Panthers are getting a sixth-round pick in return for Bridgewater, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Bridgewater will provide strong competition for third-year quarterback Drew Lock this offseason, and this move might make it less likely for Denver to draft a quarterback at No. 9 overall tomorrow night, but we’ll see. If Bridgewater is able to win the starting role this season, he’d have a promising supporting cast to work with and a potent defense to complement.

The Buccaneers re-signed Antonio Brown.
This was obviously fully expected all offseason, as it was difficult to see Brown playing anywhere else but with Tom Brady and Tampa Bay at this stage in his career. Brown is getting a one-year deal worth up to $6.25 million, so this might be a major bargain for the Bucs. Coming off a touchdown in the Super Bowl, the former All-Pro receiver will now have all offseason to round into form and gain more chemistry within Bruce Arians’ offense. Tampa Bay is likely to be scary good in 2021.

The Browns have exercised Baker Mayfield’s fifth-year option, according to ESPN’s Jake Trotter.
This was fully expected for the former No. 1 overall pick, and the team could even end up getting an extension done this offseason if they believe the cost will be lower than it might be a year from now. Through three seasons, Mayfield has gone 23-22 with 11,115 passing yards and a 75:43 touchdown-interception ratio; they will be hoping for a leap in 2021 as he enters the second year in Kevin Stefanski’s offense.

The Seahawks have re-signed Geno Smith.
Smith will be back in Seattle as Russell Wilson’s backup this fall, and it is highly unlikely the team adds any competition through the draft next week considering they have just three selections. Geno—who will turn 31 in October—appeared in one game last season.

The 49ers have signed Wayne Gallman.
Gallman recently took a visit to the Niners, and a deal came together pretty quickly. This is a very intriguing signing, as the San Francisco depth chart at running back figures to be pretty wipe open with a few promising potential contributors on the roster. Filling in for Saquon Barkley last season, Gallman played very well, carrying 147 times for 682 yards (4.6 yards per carry) and six touchdowns. The Clemson product will be someone to watch this summer.

The Buccaneers re-signed Ryan Griffin.
Griffin will now be going on his seventh season in Tampa Bay, and he’s done very well to stick around in the league for so long after going undrafted in 2013. Griffin’s re-signing makes him the only quarterback behind Tom Brady on the Bucs depth chart as things currently stand.

Jordan Reed is retiring from the NFL.
Reed is just 30 years old, but he’s unfortunately battled a bunch of injuries throughout his career, and he’s at least leaving the game after making his return to the field and playing well for the Niners last season. Reed’s career ends with 355 receptions for 3,602 yards and 28 touchdowns in seven seasons (six with Washington, one with San Francisco). The 2013 third-round pick of Washington was a dynamic threat at tight end when healthy, with basketball-like route-running ability and crafty athleticism for his position. Reed had a productive career that was hindered a bit by injuries.
