Join now >Charles Sims sees two touches in loss to the Saints.
He had two receptions for 11 yards and didn’t receive a carry. The stats are particularly concerning because Tampa Bay was down big throughout, but Peyton Barber ended up being the team’s backfield leader with 13 touches. Sims isn’t a fantasy option.

The Dolphins signed QB David Fales.
Fales was with Miami during the preseason, and the team brought him back while Jay Cutler is dealing with cracked ribs and unlikely to play on Thursday night. Expect Fales to backup Matt Moore, as it’d be a surprise if Cutler was able to suit up against the Ravens.

Ameer Abdullah gets 14 touches in Week 8.
Abdullah carried 11 times for 27 yards and added three receptions for 11 yards against the Steelers. The Lions might’ve committed more to the running game, but they were having so much success moving the ball through the air that they didn’t have too—though they couldn’t grind out tough yardage when getting closer to the end zone. If you’re playing Abdullah, you just need to hope the Lions start giving him more carries to allow him to do more damage on the ground. He gets the Packers next.

Kenny Britt doesn’t catch a pass against Minnesota.
Britt was active for the game, but he wasn’t targeted the entire game. Despite signing a pretty big contract with Cleveland this offseason, Britt is way off the fantasy radar.

Ryan Grant caught five passes for 38 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys.
At this point, it looks like Grant is the third best skill-position player on Washington’s offense, as Jordan Reed can’t stay healthy, Josh Doctson hasn’t been consistent, and Terrelle Pryor doesn’t even see the field anymore. That said, Grant is a better real-life option for Kirk Cousins than he is fantasy option.

Martavis Bryant: “I want out” if the Steelers don’t involve me on offense.
Bryant spoke to ESPN’s Josina Anderson and basically told her he’s unhappy with his role and doesn’t want to be on the team anymore if he isn’t going to contribute. Obviously, yesterday’s skipping of a team meeting and calling out sick was not a serious health issue, but rather just further unhappiness from Bryant. He clearly is trying to do whatever he can to get out of Pittsburgh, as handling things like this just makes for a toxic situation with the team. The best course of action for the Steelers is to probably just keep Bryant away from the team through suspension or release—or by just telling him to go home. Of course we understand Bryant wants to play and help the team, but this isn’t the correct way to handle the situation—especially on a 5-2 team.

Matthew Stafford throws for over 400 yards in Lions’ loss.
The Lions put up a historic performance, but not in the way they’d like, as they had the third-most yards in an NFL game without scoring a touchdown. Stafford and the Lions moved the ball with ease against a Steelers defense that came in with the number one pass defense in the NFL, but they couldn’t convert into touchdowns. Stafford was 27/45 for 423 yards, along with an 11-yard carry, in the game. Detroit should be able to get it in the end zone against the Packers next Monday night, and Stafford will be in the QB1 conversation.
