Martavis Bryant | Free Agent WR

Mike Tomlin says the Steelers won’t trade Martavis Bryant.

Both sides appear pretty dug in, as Bryant wants out if his role won’t increase, and the Steelers say they do not want to trade the talented receiver. As of now, expect Bryant to remain on the team and not have much fantasy value at all. He has the upside to remain on fantasy rosters, but Bryant should not be in lineups right now—he might not even be in Pittsburgh’s lineup for Week 8 if they decide to discipline him.

Le'Veon Bell | Free Agent RB

Le’Veon Bell sees 27 touches in Week 8 win.

Bell rushed 25 times for 76 yards and a touchdown, but he was held to five yards on two receptions and also lost a fumble, as Detroit did a nice job against the superstar back. At the season’s midway point, Bell is on pace for 1,520 rushing yards and ten rushing touchdowns with another 438 yards and 70 catches through the air, but he’s averaging just 3.91 yards per carry and 6.26 yards per reception. Still, we’d expect him to be more efficient after the bye week, and he’s obviously an elite RB1 down the stretch.

Duke Johnson Jr. | Free Agent RB

Duke Johnson Jr. has cleared concussion protocol.

He doesn’t have a concussion, which is great to hear. Johnson will be good to go in Week 10 against the Lions.

10/29/17 - 01:25 PM ET

T.J. Yates | Retired QB

T.J. Yates will be the backup quarterback for the Texans.

After Deshaun Watson went down with a season-ending ACL tear, the team brought both Yates and Matt McGloin into the quarterback group. It’ll be Yates, who was previously with the Texans in the NFL and knows O’Brien’s offense, behind new starter Tom Savage. Even if Yates ends up making starts this season, he wouldn’t be a recommended fantasy option.

11/3/17 - 01:57 PM ET

Marshawn Lynch | Free Agent RB

Marshawn Lynch’s one-game suspension has been upheld.

Appeals officer James Thrash upheld the suspension, which was handed down by the NFL last week after Lynch ran out on the field and shoved an official while trying to defend Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters after a late hit to Raiders quarterback Derek Carr. Peters actually was a part of the appeal and tried to defend Lynch, which sounds a bit ridiculous for a division rival but that’s where we are with those two. The Raiders will go with Jalen Richard and DeAndre Washington against the Bills, and they are both in the FLEX conversation for that game—and don’t be surprised if they both seize control of the backfield from Lynch. Marshawn is eligible to return in Week 9 against the Dolphins.

10/24/17 - 12:00 PM ET

Tre Madden | Seahawks FB

Tre Madden catches long pass in Week 8.

Seattle’s fullback ran right up the middle of the field after a play-action fake and was wide open for a 66-yard gain. Madden isn’t a fantasy option, but this was a big play in the shootout with Houston.

10/30/17 - 02:08 PM ET

Seth DeValve | Panthers TE

Seth DeValve catches one pass in Week 8.

He caught a pass in the flat that was immediately stopped by Minnesota and went for no yards. DeValve is not a fantasy option right now.
