Mo Alie-Cox | Colts TE

The Colts gave Mo Alie-Cox a second-round tender.

This all but locks Alie-Cox in with the Colts for 2021. The former VCU basketball player continues to progress, and he’s become one of the league’s top touchdown threats among tight ends.

Emmanuel Sanders | Free Agent WR

The Bills have agreed to a one-year deal with Emmanuel Sanders.

Sanders has yet to officially get released by the Saints, but that and a physical with Buffalo should become official later this week. The signing is somewhat of a surprise after the Bills just cut John Brown and while also considering the presence of second-year receiver Gabriel Davis, but Sanders gives Josh Allen another crafty weapon that knows how to get open. Given that the wide receiver market has been very slow to this point, Sanders did well to land with a Super Bowl contender.

Lee Smith | Falcons TE

The Falcons are acquiring Lee Smith.

Atlanta is sending Buffalo a late-round pick in 2022, presumably a conditional pick. New Falcons head coach Arthur Smith wants to be able to run the ball, and Lee will help them do that as an extra blocker that can chip in as an occasional pass catcher.

Malcolm Brown | Free Agent RB

The Dolphins are signing Malcolm Brown, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Brown has shown very well when featured for the Rams, and it’s possible he’ll have a shot at a bigger role in Miami. The team could remain a potential candidate to draft a running back in next month’s draft.

Alex Armah | Free Agent FB

The Saints are signing Alex Armah, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Armah is someone New Orleans knows well after facing him twice per year in the division, and he will now lead the way for Alvin Kamara and Latavius Murray.

Zach Ertz | Commanders TE

The Eagles have given Zach Ertz permission to seek a trade.

This is basically just a formality, as it’s been pretty well known that Ertz is not expected to return to the Eagles in 2021. Now it’s about Ertz finding a team and Philadelphia accepting the compensation they’ll receive via a trade. In eight seasons with the Eagles after getting drafted in the second round in 2013, Ertz caught 561 passes for 6,078 yards and 36 touchdowns, and he set the single-season record for receptions by a tight end (116) in 2018. Ertz caught the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter of the franchise’s lone Super Bowl title (Super Bowl LII), and he’s been seen as an exemplary leader for the city of Philadelphia.

Jacoby Brissett | Cardinals QB

The Dolphins are signing Jacoby Brissett.

Backup quarterbacks are suddenly flying off the board in the past hour, and Brissett is set to backup Tua Tagovailoa in Miami. Brissett is familiar with Dolphins head coach Brian Flores from their time together in New England.
