After being signed earlier this week and with Charcandrick West (concussion) inactive, Spiller got some third-down work over Akeem Hunt; but rookie Kareem Hunt (22 touches) handled most of the work in the backfield. Spiller carried twice for no yards, and it’s not lock he stays with the team when West is healthy.

Chester Rogers is officially active for the Colts.
Rogers was not on the injury report this week, and the second-year receiver is active for the first time this season. He likely won’t deliver much fantasy value without Andrew Luck (shoulder) at quarterback, but it’ll be interesting to see Rogers’ role in his first game of 2017.

Mohamed Sanu scores in Week 8 win.
Sanu caught a team-high six passes for 74 yards and a touchdown, which turned out to be the game-winning score in a 25-20 victory. On the play, Sanu was able to work the back of the end zone and make an impressive grab in rainy conditions. The 28-year-old will continue to operate as Atlanta’s number-two behind Julio Jones next week against the Panthers, and he could benefit from some softer coverage if they focus on stopping Julio after his 300-yard game against them in 2016. Sanu is a decent FLEX option.

Cody Kessler is now the backup quarterback for the Browns.
Rookie DeShone Kizer was promoted back to the starter, and Kevin Hogan is now all the way at third string after starting last week’s game. Kizer has really struggled in his five starts this season, and Kessler played well as a rookie last season. We would expect the second-year quarterback Kessler to play at some point unless Kizer at least shows some improvement.

Rod Smith sees nine touches in blowout victory.
Smith rushed eight times for 61 yards and caught a five-yard pass. The brother of linebacker Jaylon Smith, Rod only had two carries for eight yards heading into Sunday’s game, but the 40-3 score allowed him to get some playing time. Fantasy owners handcuffing Zeke probably shouldn’t panic, as Alfred Morris and Darren McFadden are fully expected to lead a committee if Elliott’s suspension kicks in.

Rookie Taywan Taylor scores first NFL touchdown in Titans’ win.
The third-round rookie played a big role for the Titans against Indianapolis, catches two passes for 61 yards and a touchdown. The first reception for Taylor was a pop pass earlier in the game that went for eight yards. But the second was a 53-yard touchdown on an ultra-high corner route in the fourth quarter that put the Titans ahead for good. Taylor ran a great route that got him by first-round rookie safety Malik Hooker and allowed Marcus Mariota to deliver a perfect deep ball for the score. Taylor’s role isn’t big enough for him to be a reliable fantasy option, but it’s good to see him making an impact like this in his rookie season.

Joe Mixon leads team in receiving against the Colts.
Though he did fumble in the game, Mixon continues to work as the main guy in Cincinnati’s backfield—but the team couldn’t get much going on the ground, as he ran 11 times for 18 yards. He did have a great day receiving, though, catching all three targets for 91 yards, with a long of 67 yards coming on a screen pass that he nearly took all the way. The rookie’s talent is obvious, and the Bengals will probably look to ride him against the Jaguars next week. Keep him in fantasy lineups as a good RB2 option.
