Zay Jones caught two passes for 17 yards in Sunday’s win over the Bucs.

Jones has just seven receptions for 83 yards on the season. He should be on the waiver wire in redraft leagues. Buffalo hosts Oakland next Sunday.

O.J. Howard breaks out with two-touchdown performance in loss.

Howard caught six passes for 98 yards and two scores. The first came on a backside play-action pass from seven yards out, and the second was a 33-yard score where the rookie found himself wide open on another backside play-action pass. It was obviously a promising game for the first-round pick, but he still isn’t a reliable TE1 option in redraft leagues. Howard can probably stay on the waiver wire heading into Week 8.

Don’t bet against Adrian Peterson: AD goes off in first game as a Cardinal.

After being traded by the Saints on Tuesday morning, Peterson made his team debut and rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries in a 38-33 win over the Bucs. He was held without a catch, but that’s not what he was brought to Arizona to do. The 32-year-old immediately transformed the offense and provided a jolt to a veteran team, as Carson Palmer started off hot as ever and Larry Fitzgerald looked like he was in his prime. In not even a week, Peterson has given the Cardinals hope and gone from third-string running back to being a high-end RB2 for fantasy purposes. If he was somehow dropped, he should obviously be the top waiver priority. The Cardinals take on the Rams next Sunday.

DeMarco Murray (hamstring) did not practice today.

The veteran running back could probably miss practice all week and still play on Sunday, but he is someone to keep an eye on. We expected him to be out there against the Browns, but he’s lock—especially in a game Tennessee might think they can win while giving Murray a rest (not that any game in the NFL is easy).

De’Anthony Thomas scores 57-yard touchdown in loss to the Steelers.

Thomas caught three passes for 61 yards and the score, which came in the fourth quarter and brought the Chiefs within two before Antonio Brown answered with a long touchdown of his own. The “Black Mamba” is an explosive player, but he isn’t a reliable fantasy option. The Chiefs play the Raiders on TNF for Week 7.

Seth Roberts catches all three targets in Week 6.

Roberts gained 35 yards on his three receptions versus the Chargers. He’s a good player for the Raiders and he’s someone Derek Carr likes throwing to, but it’s difficult to trust Roberts in fantasy lineups.

Carson Palmer has a broken arm, Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said.

It’s to his non-throwing arm at least, but this is still obviously awful news for both Palmer and the entire Cardinals team. Arians says Palmer will have surgery on his arm and will likely miss eight weeks, so he might be a candidate for Injured Reserve as a disengaged to return player. Veteran Drew Stanton will now fill in for Palmer, and the team will have to rally around him if they’re going to compete in the NFC West. The only good news is that the Cardinals do have a bye next week, so Stanton will have some time to prepare. If the Cardinals are totally out of playoff contention, it’s not out of the question that Palmer, who has discussed retirement, has played his last snap in the NFL—but he probably would not want to go out like this.
